I've been really curious to know when would happen, if I put a regular chicken drumstick, into piranha solution.
WARNING: Piranha solution is EXTREMELY dangerous. It can even be explosive when mixed with the wrong things, and can shred just about anything organic. It was handled properly in a controlled environment. Please do not attempt this.

@@BrigetteChappell Thanks, I'm glad there were no mishaps either...🙂. They don't use that piranha solution machine anymore. However, there are still plenty of other processes that require serious caution in any chip fab. Throughout the plant there are eyewash/shower stations everywhere. If you get something nasty on you...you strip down and rinse off immediately...no time to be embarrassed. Hydrofluoric acid is another often used chemical in fabs. Its insidious because it doesn't immediately burn to let you know it got on you. The fluorine ions quickly penetrate deep tissue down into the bone. Then 6-24 hours later...changes start happening real quick. Next level horrible... (for anyone interested, Google hydrofluoric acid and bones). Cheers!!

@@beaudy1012 I also worked for a while in a chemical fab for electronics, and I ran the processes that all used various acids. Hydrofluoric is one of my favourites to discuss with people as the major toxicity of it is one of those chemistry bits people aren't familiar with. "Acid equals burns"-but sometimes they may cause other damage that can be even worse. Liquefactive necrosis is not a good time.

@@brian4872 Idk, perhaps if you leave it for a really long time it might do something to it, I can't say I've tried. But certainly not within a few moments like the video suggests. In fact even the flesh dissolve parts are cut here, it takes many minutes to fully dissolve a small piece of meat in reality. Still very violent, but it's not an instant delete like in the video.

The thing about piranha solution is it doesn't work forever. Even if you add 50% peroxide (which is extremely dangerous), eventually the sulfuric acid will become more and more dilute due to the addition of water. So either you have to periodically boil the water off (also extremely dangerous if there's excess peroxide left) or eventually neutralize the bath and start over again with a fresh batch. I am curious if you could get around this limitation by using a pure oxidizing compound such as ozone, chlorine gas or chlorate salts.

Chlorine can't oxidize elemental carbon (or at least it can't do it fast enough). As for ozone, do you also want an explosion?
@dolomighty74

I was thinking more of an ozone generator like the one tom from explo&fire uses, which is more a source of ozone-enriched air. Do you think it's gonna explode? It seems a less concentrated oxygen source to me, compared to peroxide
