This is one most express moment of admirable performance of Chet Baker as the best trumpetist ever exist on jazz música Unforgettable!

Years ago, there was an article in the NY Times about never released video footage of Miles Davis in the studio during the recording of Kind Of Blue. The video was available on this new website called KZbin. I thought it was the most amazing thing ever. KZbin has made it possible to travel through time. Stan and Chet are no longer with us, but KZbin just took me to Stockholm in 1983 to see them live. Art never dies or gets old... It's just waiting to be rediscovered. Thanks for posting.

Chet was inspired, trained, enriched by jazz played by Black people, like Miles. Jazz music was invented by Black people. It takes a significant ear for a white person to interpret and play jazz. As many caucasians have. The ear.

Stan and Chet at their finest. It' s almost a miracle how Chet was able to play like with visibly so much broken. But his melody lines seem to stay so pure.

@@alvaro5805his trumpet sound and lyrical phrasing evolved during all his carrer, he does not sound the same in 53 than in the 60ies or even more different in the 80ies After learning to play with a dentier, what I can agree with is that he has always been a story teller, even when you can tell he is not at the top of himself, he is ALWAYS Putting something from himself in to it, it is very deep and and impressive and this is why jazz is for in my opinion. His Always dedicated and expressive approach of music are the reason I play this music.

I heard Stan Getz many, many years ago in Sausalito, superb! I've only been a fan of Chet's in recent times, when I learned to recognize what a terrific talent he was. Sorry I never got to hear him in person, his music is truly one of a kind. It portrays the very soul of the man when he performs, subdued and sensual. Two very different, gifted artists who made good music together..

M.J. Leger I had the huge pleasure of spending time with Chet when he was down on his luck and would do a once a year stint in Toronto in the 80's at a duo club called bourbon street/basin street on Queen Street at University Ave. It was magical. He was very much dependent on hard drugs but once he had his fix he would play until they turned off the lights. I saw him play drums for one set!

I saw Stan Getz in Sausalito years ago, but I never got to hear Chet live. I was always working myself as a musician so didn't gt to go to concerts. But I later learned to love Chet's music as well, and still do. Both are gone now, as are many of the greatest talents of that era. I think the 1960's to the mid- to late 80's gave us some of the greatest talents in music ever seen or heard. Thank goodness they left us their recordings so we can hear them forever.
