Many years ago, Lord Nityananda opened the first Namahatta, selling the Holy Name to everyone who was willing to pay with Faith, and yesterday, Mayapur devotees had the amazing good fortune to be able to personally participate in this wonderful Pastime of Lord Nityananda prabhu.
Signs in the temple courtyard were inviting everyone to come inside and shop at the Lord’s market.
The Panca Tattva Altar was the market and the Lord was standing there with eyes full of Mercy for one and all. Temple was so full with thousands of devotees, it was a real blessing to have a chance to go inside and feast one’s eyes and heart looking at the Lord being bathe. The atmosphere create by the most incredible decorations in the temple room was one of amazement and beautiful realizations of how merciful Nityananda Ram is to all of us.
No matter who we are, what we did in the past, how much money we can give or not give at all, The Lord freely gives the Holy Name. Nityananda Trayodasi was a most wonderful opportunity to start a new chapter in one’s life and just go on with chanting the Holy Name for ever.
The Lord was looking most beautiful being bathe with so many colorful items, Love was pouring all over the altar. It was total bliss. Having the Paduka on our head was the finishing touch to this sweet delightful day. Many of our sannyasi were present in Mayapur on that very auspicious day and all of them were very impressed by the sweetness of the celebration in the Holy Dham.
HH Jayapataka Maharaj although not physically present, was wholeheartedly with Lord Nityananda and the devotees in Sri Mayapur Dham. Maharaj personally called the devotees to let them know how beautiful the temple decoration looked and blessed them with his kind words and said that Lord Nityananda would bless all the devotees who worked so hard to make this day so beautiful.
