I love this machine. I was a Marine during the Huey's peak era, the Vietnam War. I'll still fly the Army version, though. Different teams, but same league. Great job!

I was in the Army at the end of the Huey's era. They were phasing them out but still had a lot left. My first ride was in a Huey and they are still my favorite.

Bought it a few days ago and already learned so much and fly it fairly well for no helicopter experience. I even did a successful and smooth auto rotation on my first attempt ! Thanks for an awesome addon !

@lol lol Moi aussi pas le choix ! :-) Dommage on ne peux pas manipuler avec les touches basiques de x-plane et faut bien parametrer le collectif. Sinon que du bonheur, ils ont fait du super boulot!

Look for Timber61's version of a Bell 429 helo, which is freeware. It's an excellent machine and easy to learn to fly. It taught me how to fly the default X-Plane helicopters.

@@jimorlando8664 Thanks Jim, I have it. I actually have been flying the S-76 and have gotten much better. Still looking forward to the Huey, my old man was a UH-1 crew chief during Vietnam, US Army. I was in an aviation unit but not a crew chief or pilot. Wished I had done either one.

@@christophermcsherry2655. I've been flying sim helicopters for about 14 years now, and the default S-76 is one squirrel of a machine. I much prefer Timber's 429 and the Dreamfoil 407. Can't wait for the Huey though, as it was the first helicopter I got a ride in for real. They have a special place in my heart.

I'm a massive fan of the DCS huey but do sometimes fly in xplane. Gotta say we'll done nimbus this looks really good. For me I think the sounds in this are better than dcs, closer to what I think a huey should sound like.

@@MuratVishnyakov Exactly. It simply can't be better. Austin Meyer doesn't understand aerodynamics. He believes that putting together some high school level force and torque "physics" formulas makes a flight model... When that doesn't work (as expected), he comes up with more and more crutches he "forgot of" to fix his "flight model". That, of course, won't work also, because computational fluid dynamics is an extremely complex field you can't be hoping to tackle with high school level of math.

@@MuratVishnyakov "Noname flight model"? "Simplified controls"? You probably never watched it, let alone trying it out? Just look up your "blade element theory" and you'll realize that it's something Austin Meyer came up with on his own to name a simple forces and torques based "model" with a few trigonometry formulas a high schooler could come up with... He wanted a fancy name that would sound a bit like Finite Element Method, probably, and many people bought into that naming BS. Except the "BET" is not anywhere near the engineering level of complexity at all. Austin just fancies thinking of himself as of some sort of a genius, which is clearly seen in his videos, but he really lacks in the education department. People like that cannot be assigned to either making planes or simulators.

Did you bind the collective as collective or is it still binded as throttle ? Also, you need a separate throttle binding. Assuming you haven't already figured this out.
