When you talk about this William Hill organ, it is always with the greatest enthusiasm. None of your listeners will contradict you. The sound of this instrument deeply touches every receptive and feeling heart.

This is my absolute favourite piece of Elgar, and even better to watch and listen to your excellent and superb playing of it. I never tire of listening to it. Thank you Ben.

Dear Lord and Father was my organ teacher!s favourite hymn and he would have approved of your standard of hymn playing which he emphasised so much importance to.

Such an emotive piece of music, chokes me up every time I hear it. I was ASM for theatre group which did a production focusing on World War I, it closed with the narrator reciting from "On Flanders Fields the Poppies Grow" with this piece playing along. As music reached its crescendo I had the release paper poppies to drift down onto the stage then que the lights to fade to black. I was always a wreck at the end.

I tend to dislike the idea of classical music performed in versions other than the original (though that didn't stop me committing since of arrangement myself...) But this version of Nimrod, on this organ, in the hands of this organist, I find unassailable. Seamless, honest and deep.

Made this blokes day. Thank you. Did Elgar write this specifically for the organ. Synergy, Empathy and just beautifully, sweetly, round and full.

No, it was written for orchestra, but it adapts extremely well for organ. It is one movement of his "Enigma Variations".

Ben, thanks for your beautiful music from Canada. Please check out the church in Dibly used for the Vicar of Dibly series. It looks like a beautiful tracker and worthy of your investigation.

As always, I love your sense of music and spirit. The warm colors of the music and the wooden background are disturbed by the blue hues of your electronic tablet. Lovely nonetheless. I watch and listen to you whenever I can. God bless you.

I like the contrast between the cold technology and the beauty of wood

To me the juxtaposition of the new technology of sheet music presentation (tablet with a bluish tint) set against the so-o familiar wooden background is jarring. It's an example of the times we are are living through. What we don't see front and center is the other technology that Mr. Maton is employing. He has framed his presentations very reasonably, I think, keeping the audio recording "stuff" out of sight, so we can hear a reasonable recording quality of his episodes, while minimally allowing the video recording to be noticed. This old school music reader can't "get into the tablet" view of sheet music because of elder eye sight, but the storytelling and music making is so-o engaging. Thank you, Ben for the series and would encourage you to continue this interest.

Specifically, from the "Enigma Variations" (1899) originally composed for orchestra. Wouldn't say it was the saddest piece of music ever, but a very fine performance and A Like!

I watched to see how you managed the final decrescendo on a pistonless organ. I have found no wholly satisfactory solution.
