I always knew claudia might be Johnny's mom the way she fussed over him seemed more than a big sister. I mean the ages of the actors were crazy sarah brown is only 4 years older than brandon barasch. I shudder at what age claudia got pregnant. I'm guessing she was not 17. I'm betting 13 or 11 sick. Johnny & anthony are still very related.

I don't remember if it's ever explained, but I would like to know why Anthony forced Claudia to call Johnny her brother rather than her son. It must have been some scheme cooked by Anthony, and maybe he threatened to harm Johnny, if Claudia didn't agree to the ruse. That's the only explanation I can think of, as to why Claudia would agree to do it in the first place. She loved her son more than anything, and would do anything to ensure his safety, even if it meant lying to him his entire life. Passing off your parent as your sibling is a pretty sick thing to do, and I don't know any parent who would agree to that, unless maybe their child's life was threatened in any way.

Anthony had no moral compass, Claudia succumbed to her desperation even more so, especially after her daddy considered her to be a lost cause. Added to the fact that she herself had a child, whom she loved so dearly and therefore wanted to protect even if it meant living a lie. Put it together and what have you got? A recipe for disaster.

This actually happened in real life to jack Nicholson. His mother had him at 15 in the late 30s this was not acceptable so the family hid her pregnancy & her parents raised jack telling him he was their son. Jack didnt find out until he was 37 & a reporter called him. His sister(mom) & mom ( grandmom) were dead so he called his aunt who confirmed it. He said he was blown away bc he was such a shit to his real mom. He also said it disnt scar him psychologically bc he was well formed. I'm sorry jack may think bc his brain was fully formed as he said it still can have trauma. He lived a lie for 37 years & couldn't even talk to his real mom or grandma about it. The family had no clue who the father was & I'm sorry that's really really mind blowing to believe ur grandparents are ur parents. All his " sisters " were all teens when he was little I guess they told him he was a change of life baby. The craziest part is his " mom" wasnt even that close with him he was very close to his " sister" lorraine that he named his daughter after her. I'm thinking the mom kept her distance that was her son & she had to pretend he was her little brother. The parents did it bc they didnt wanr her ballet career destroyed as a child. Also jack said bc of this he is pro life. His mom could have had an illegal abortion which happened all the time if u found a willing doctor & cash under the table. So he said his position is life bc he is so glad he is alive & that's the only stance he can have.
