This could have all been avoided if only Todd or Tea dialed 911 when he found her passed out on the indoor parking garage floor. She would have given birth inside of General Hospital. Medical professionals could have taken over and maybe saved her baby's life, or if he still didn't survive then a doctor would be the one to explain it to her.

Do you really think if Sam allowed Tea to hold him she would hand him right back? No, it would be confusion and a fight. It had to be explained to Tea before she is allowed to say goodbye to the baby. In this scene she wasn't told yet. Afterwards when she knew Sam did allow her to hold him to say goodbye.
