2:30 Yes the Foolix can kill your Pikmin, it just takes a while. Also the Toxstool doesn’t create enemies it only revives them, I simply destroyed the poison mushrooms and killed the enemies and had my pikmin carry them so they can’t be revived, also the regular puffstool can’t hurt your pikmin at all.

By far the hardest was the empress bulblax in that small room with two geysers. It kept killing all of my party so I ended up killing with Oatchi only 😆

I always felt it was strange that empress bulbax has this rolling attack when you have no reason to ever attack her from the side. While the fight was brutal I was actually glad they finally made her rolling attack actuall threatening.

I had to rewind at least 8 times before I could even defeat that thing, since you can attack...but if you aren't far enough away when it knocks your pikmin off with the swing, it will knock you off oatchi and then crush you

9:40 In regards to the Burrowing Snagret there's an even easier and safer way to fight them that doesn't rely on purple or rock pikmin as the suggested method seems to. Unfortunately if you try to use the suggested tactic using pikmin without impact damage, the pikmin will not only fail to deal enough damage to prevent it from attacking but the Snagret will shake pikmin off, deflowering them and making them an easy target to snatch up. The more reliable way to fight them is to simply ride on Oatchi with all your pikmin and let the Snagret come of of the ground without attacking it at all and once it's fully out of the ground weave in and out of it's attack range. The Snagret will do a couple of quick pecks trying to hit you and eventually wind up for a really big peck and slam it's beak into the ground. This will cause it's beak to get stuck at which point you can ram into him with Oatchi to deposit all your pikmin and let them wail on him while he cannot attack or deflower /shake them off at all for a fairly long time. Using Blues/Yellows (average attack str) 50 pikmin were enough to safely 1 cycle the Snagret using this method.

I feel like at this point someone should've made a boss tier list WITHOUT Oatchi's assistance because he makes all the boss fights trivial. I've already seen like 6 tier lists for this game and not one has rated the bosses in a different scenario. It was so much harder to beat these in the past games when we had to organize and guide our Pikmin on our own, we didn't have a mount to cram all of our pikmin on. Yes some bosses have been nerfed to a degree, some more obvious than others, but we can't judge their true danger level if Oatchi is a factor everytime. I'll wait to see people tackle these the old fashioned way. Edit: Oh and PS you can charge the Emperor and Sovereign Bublaxes, just siege on their face, NOT on the side because they don't feel that.

the game in general is pretty impossible without oatchi just because it’s so hard to control your squad, the way the pikmin expand out when in a squad and not getting the lineup trumpet until postgame gives you no way to effectively keep your squad safe at all without oatchi

Some bosses need iron bars on the arena entrance such as gildmander and man at legs. But honestly even without oatchi, ultra spicy spray is handed out like mad. With right Pikmin type you can decimate anything in a few seconds.

Fun fact; the ¨poison¨ of the Smoky Progg (that red mist) is called Gloom. Exactly like the hazard in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, although Gloom was first introduced in Pikmin 1, but not directly.

The poisonous Puffstool just revives enemies, if you manage to collect all the corpses to your ship it makes the fight safer. If it could make more mold possessed creatures it would be even more annoying.

The only one I wouldn't consider a boss that I think the game for some reason considers a boss, despite finding them later on. I never thought of the creeping chrysanthemum or startle spore as a boss.

Funny enough, I managed to take down the 2 Emperor Bulblax with 1 pikmin. Just 1. No Oichi, no items, just one Pikmin because I wanted to annoy my friend. I have no idea about the Sovern Bulblax, but the 2 smaller Bulblax were the only bosses I was able to kill with just a single Pikmin.

Since I did not know that you could toss the pinecones at the Fluttertail, it actually gave me a lot of trouble and possibly took me longer to beat than the final boss. Also I just used Oatchi on the big blowhogs cause I feared my Pikmin getting thrown off the edge.

I think it is really sad that the baldy long legs doesn‘t have hairs any more it was cool watch the Pikmin ripping out its hairs and it made the battle a bit harder because you wasn‘t able to damage it until all the hairs where removed.

I loved the intensity of the fight with Ancient Sirehound. I actually wish more bosses in this game put up more of a fight. We didn't get a huge number of really unique and large-scale fights in 4 like in 3. It felt like they rehashed many bosses or just made regulars enemies bigger (like Masterhop or Gildemander). The Groovy Long Legs was a major standout and was probably one of my favorite bosses in Pikmin history!

Because the bosses were more like they were in 2 as opposed to 3 which I prefer, 3 is the only Pikmin game that did bosses like that and I didn't like it, they felt more like typical video game bosses than actual creatures in an ecosystem like in all the other Pikmin games. Not to mention that most bosses in 3 have so many periods of waiting just to artificially extend the length of the battle, that's bad boss design, while in all the other games you can attack the bosses whenever you want even when they're attacking, it's great risk vs reward and has a high skill ceiling which most Pikmin 3 bosses don't have. Also I don't see the problem with rehashing iconic bosses as long as they're still great, which they all still are in 4 except the Puffstool. Gildemander may just be a giant version of a regular enemy, but the battle itself was actually very unique and interesting so hard disagree there as well.

empress bulblax can be the most crushing boss or the cheesiest of them all. that is because when the rock pikmin is in your squad and since all of the arenas have a spot ground and because rock pikmin can withstand crushing on the soft grounds but you need alot of them or 33 at minimum since the rock pikmin and empress bulblax can defeat the bolborb larvaes beating the cave in a single run is such a sufferable pain so reenter the sublevel 12 with 30 rock pikmin for not much sufferings

The artic cannonbettle can only eat half of the total Pikmin for example you have 300 Pikmin and all got inhale it would only eat 150. Yes I know that any number of Pikmin above 100 is by a glitch

They should have made the Foolix function similar to the Plasm Wraith, where they can control every hazard. The goo could contain every single hazard (Except Ice), leaving you to trategice your how to fight it (for example, if a certain Pikmin type gets stuck inside the Foolix, they will not die to the hazard they are made for but will die to every other one) The Goolix in Pikmin 1 functions similarly by drowning every type that's not Blue

8:50 i took the longer route. Just using oatchi and charging it alot while having him bit at the gold. Then once all the gold is gone. I do round two with the pikmin 😂 Honestly, 17:50 the boss was pretty easy the second time around. I uh, did the purple pikmin glitch and had over 300 pikmin and then all got demonlished because the limit pikmin that can be controlled. The snow balls were the reason. But what urk me the most was after beating the boss, i got a error pop up and game restarted. So i left the cave with the glitch purples 😅and came back the second time. Much easier and no error messages. I still think the smoky frog was the hardest boss for me. 😅

Not only that, if you can catch a creature in the water when it freezes, it can't thaw out. I discovered it when I froze a Baldy Long Legs after it stuck its foot in a puddle in Primordial Thicket.

just a tip for you that are reaching the final cave: DO NOT listen to the game: Instead of bringing blue pikmin (which are recommended), bring Ice pikmin And also (spoilers) To cheese the final boss' 4th phase, bring pink pikmin to the cave and use them as food to the candypop buds, just make sure you have 15 of them remaining

Baldy long legs is stronger than groovy? How? Groovy is very tanky and has larger legs which works well with groovy long legs confusing your pikmin so it gets a lot of free kills. Not to mention it only speeds up to be moving at a decent speed after spraying the gas that confuses your pikmin so it's even harder. I'm surprised baldy was higher up on the list to be honest
