With 4,2 and 3,2 and probably while rising 4,2 can be canceled into crouch after the roll if you don’t want to do the mid. Also for backsway after SS1 you don’t have to double tap back. You can just hold back or down back.

Worth mentioning that a lot of her throws have chains to them which they made a lot easier to input in tekken 8

Very much so. Coming from earlier versions of tekken those throws required alot of inputs. Now they are so easy.

a little late to the comment party, but i wanted to point out that to get sway or crouch dash after SS1, just hold back or forward after the 1. no need to do the quarter circle or "tap back twice". The same applies to moves you can side step cancel. just hold the up or down direction after the button input, like df3,2~u/d.

Really appreciate you posting these series of videos for the community! Looking forward to seeing all the new players thanks to these vids. Something I think should be emphasized is her backsway. Yes she gains more plus frames after ss1b but its important also to emphasize how evasive her backsway is. The backsway evades mids with high hitboxes as well. Just a correction d2 I'm pretty confident is only +5 on CH unless that changes in the final product. Someone might've had CH on and assumed it was +5. You can't tell whether the low hits CH unlike a Bryan/Alisa db3 that has a distinct CH animation. Lastly, f2 string the last hit is guaranteed if 2nd part counter hits. So the importance of that string is that f2 is one of her longer reaching attacks and despite 2nd hit being -13 you can still threaten the last hit as well. Hope this helps provide more in depth info for the community. Keep up the great work!

8:12 Unfortunately Nina does not have a privileged df+2, it does not launch people who are crouch blocking. 3:40 d+2 is actually neutral on normal hit and +5 on counter hit This could change with release of course but this is how it currently is in the demo and how it was in Tekken 7. I would also argue that Nina is a more complete character since a few new moves cover ranges she lacked tools in. ff+3,3 3+4 and most importantly f+4 which is probably the best new move Nina received. All the other moves covered are spot on though and are definitely core to Nina 👍

I thought f2,1 was still unsafe on block, but with no true practice mode there's no way to tell d2 was only +1 on hit in the CBT, again lack of a practice mode to REALLY tell ss1 back up is how Nina's cancel it in time to press more pressure uf4,3,4 is the full string, if they are slow the 4 will beat their ws punish ws4,2 down down back cancels the spiral bomb, but she still side rolls b3+4 is her new i14 punish.. it has string follow ups.. b3+4,1+2 being the best option b1+4 is now i15 and is overall a better punisher than her df2. --- Great vid overall!!!!

With all due respect, he probably means Beginner to Nina as a character, not beginner to Tekken. If you don't understand the terminologies used in this video, you're better off watching Beginner to Tekken videos like by PhiDx (really recommend) or MainmanSWE
