Great interpretation. Nice to see and hear the explanation and obviously the interpretation of the music. Wow this is how you play at a family picnic, cannot imagine in a studio. As Edgar Coriam states in one comment below, the song author is from the Andean City of Oruro, but the rhythm, style, type of music is characteristic from the low lands of Bolivia represented typically, but not limited, by the city of Santa Cruz.

+Javier Rivero The song refers to a girl from the "Oriente Boliviano" but it doesn't specifically say Santa Cruz. And yes, Cesar Espada was born in Oruro. By the way, many of the Bolivian composers were born in Oruro.

Although, I have to correct you in one thing though: this song comes from Santa Cruz (as you stated at the beginning of the video), which is located in the eastern part of Bolivia, meaning it is not in the andes. +giovanni9107 Well, let's see. Cesar Espada is not camba. He is quirquincho. In other words he was born in ORURO in 1944. He lives in Mexico. Although the song is about a "camba" girl, it indeed is a bolivian song and it is dedicated to a girl from the "Oriente" Boliviano. So, in essence, because of the origin of its composer and author it actually is from the Bolivian Andes in origin. OK?

+giovanni9107 No, estás muy equivocado. Ahora que vives en Italia, si compones un taquirari, una cueca, un huayño, etc. ese tema sería música boliviana. Si compones una tarantela en Santa Cruz, ese tema sería música italiana. ¿Entiendes? Pero, Niña Camba no se refiere necesariamente a una cambita de Santa Cruz, se refiere a una cambita en general. Si lees la letra, no menciona Santa Cruz en ninguna parte. Solo dice camba. Puede ser de cualquier parte del oriente boliviano y la niña puede radicar en Oruro, La Paz, etc. o como tu en Italia, o En Estados Unidos como yo..

+Day-V Santacruz Well, it is obvious that you misunderstood my comment. I did not say that this particular piece is "andean". I said it is "bolivian". Likewise, the girl in the song is supposedly from the bolivian orient (el oriente boliviano) but not necessarily from the beautiful Santa Cruz. She could be from Pando, Beni, Santa Cruz, or any of the other regions in that part of the country. The rhythm is a "Taquirari" and it can also be interpreted in different rhythms such as bolero, cumbia, cueca, etc. etc. But beyond all that, the COMPOSER was born in Oruro. I guess you would be the one looking like a "clown" because of your apparent intolerance and prejudiced regionalism.
