So glad I came across this interview, I really enjoyed it. Thanks John. I recently rediscovered Karla Bonoff on KZbin and love listening to Nina’s soulful accompaniment. So nice to hear her voicing her passion and drive, and relating the story of her starting out.

Very nice interview! Nina is so talented! An Australian singer called Audrey was mentioned and now I am curious about her music. Could you please tell me her last name and more about her music?

Hi Suzanne. Nina is referring to Audrey Auld who sadly passed away in 2015. You can find the following interviews I did with Audrey at my KZbin channel.

i have seen a youtube music-still-image collage-video of "Pacheco" which is full of imagery about the santa cruz mountains area. yours truly and my domestic partner lived there for 20 years but I only became aware of that work by her a couple of years before we retired from silicon valley tech and left the area. Her words remind me of places and sensations that I came to know pretty well. some of the images in the video are of that area, but not all of them. I think a few are from the sierras. no matter, the feel is in the song, not so much in the images anyway.

I've interviewed several hundred artists over a period of 30 years. Do you really think I would interview an artist and not actually know their name? Do you think you are so perfect that you never get slightly tongue tangled in conversation? Seriously , get a life.

@@jbrak1 Welcome to YT , you know the drill & i must say well said . Say something positive or move on but that's not how it works here sadly. Good interview. I think Nina may not realize how good she is & anyone that has heard her would buy her music. She was so good with Kate & Karla Bonoff but then again she's awesome with everyone who is lucky enough to get to play music with her.
