What an interview? I'm Nigerian and Izzy is from my tribe so Izzy all the way but Strickland is as real as they come. Its hard to hate this guy after such an interview as this. Nina is phenomenal, the gifts were very thoughtful. Its amazing how they both went with the flow despite the slight verbal sparring at the start of the show. This is fine work.

It's blatantly obvious that he's a person who's been deeply hurt too many times and just isn't used to being respected (for anything other than violence) and liked. So when it happens, it means something to him. I can relate to him, so I see it on him clearly. His threatening demeanor is a trauma response. If he kicks your ass, or forces you to back down out of fear, in his mind he's got the upper hand and he can't be a victim anymore. There still a hurt little kid inside there somewhere and that's who does a lot of the talking and the decision making. So when someone shows him love just for being himself, it means the world to him.
