Every time I hear Jazmine Sullivan, I am blown away. Her vocal agility is otherworldly. Even her range is underrated. Every time she sings she just outdoes herself.

Nina was gettin' her skankin' reggae on with the original soulful classic. This interpretation? Genius.

Jazmine Sullivan is the voice of our generation. That's why it'll take a while.....before she wins a Grammy, if ever. No gimmicks, just a pure talented voice. If we want her to win a Grammy, WE have to support her. Y'all are all talk and NO action. AA should be ashamed of themselves. You don't support your own. #Shameonme-Tyrese

I’m still in Baltimore. I hate it here but I hope things will get better if we all pitch in for a common good. But to all the crime here and bad stuff going on, it’s just going to be a very uphill battle. Even though I hate it here, Baltimore always holds a place in my heart.

This is an amazing rendition. One thing I know about doing renditions is that you worry and hope and pray that you do the song justice; that you do something the original singer would be proud of. Jazmine should rest assured that she did the song justice, and Ms Nina would be proud! Amazing But then again, with her tone and range, I have come to expect nothing less from Jazmine! Well done

[Verse 1] Beat-up little seagull on a marble stair Tryin' to find the ocean, lookin' everywhere Hard times in the city, in a hard town by the sea Ain't nowhere to run to, there ain't nothin' here for free Hooker on the corner, (corner) waiting for a train Drunk lying on the sidewalk, sleeping in the rain And the people hide their faces (faces) as they hide their eyes(hide their eyes) Cause the city's dyin' and they don't know why Cause they don't know why [Chorus] Oh, Baltimore, ain't it hard just to live? Oh, Baltimore, ain't it hard just to live? Just to live [Verse 2] Get my sister Sandy and my little brother Ray Buy a big old wagon to haul us all away I Live out in the country where the mountain's high I'm never gonna come back here 'till the day I die [Chorus] Oh, Baltimore, ain't it hard just to live? Oh, Baltimore, ain't it hard just to live? Just to live Just to live No its hard to live in the city, hey, Oh We're gonna make it somehow, hey [Outro] Just believe We're gonna make it somehow, Uuhhh Hard living in the city, City Uuhhh, Oohhh

Weren`t they aware of that? Lianne La Havas does an amazing version of this song too, on the already mentioned `Àutour de Nina``
