This is probably as close to the immortal Whitney Houston as any other singer ever. Katrina Velarde is a vocal beast and not only that, she is a superb songstress and technical master singer. She should be an international superstar, household name. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic with 45+ years experience. I saw Whitney, Celine, Mariah, etc., live, in their Apex elite prime and Katrina is in their class.

That was one of my favorite Whitney Houston medley cover I have ever came across with! Many wonderful singers did this kind of cover and they're good yet Katrina's version blows my head off, it's out of this world rendition of such medley songs. Oh Katrina, how many times do you have to prove yourself that you're amazing singer and how many times do I have to listen repeatedly and be mesmerized by your songs! Wow. Always thought you reactored to this Medley before seeing as it's that old already. This was one of my first introductions to Katrina, and I remember thinking to myself "I've just watched the Whitney Medley, to kill all Whitney Medleys!" What a powerhouse Katrina Velarde is! Thank you Nina for always coming back to her. She's my absolute favorite female artist out there. Do not think you reactored to her singing Araw Gabi (new arrangement). It's in her mother tongue, but it is wild. Even for her. If you have already, she dropped a new video of her and Bugoy covering MC and Ne-Yo's Angel's cry. Magic is the word that comes to mind

I cannot think of anyone aside from maybe Dimash or Sohyang that has such anatomical mastery of vocal apparatus. She connects with every muscle, ligament and cartilage involved in vocal production. She is blessed with a musical ear as well...she reminds me of Angelina in that they listen to something and miss nothing.
