Gigi and the Vibes knock this cover out of the park--best ever! Gigi's timbre naturally syncs up with Hayley's, and as you pointed out, her single note swoops into vibrato are fantastic. Same with her vowel changes and cries. I continue to be amazed! Thanks for your reaction, Nina.

Gigi is the closest to Hayley Williams. So close that if you close your eyes, you'll think it's the original. She's such a chameleon. Gigi is so on point with her pitch and yes that "cry or grit" makes it so Gigi. This is how you do a cover. I have not heard enough Paramore, but I do like the like song. What you need for Rock is to have a powerful voice all the way throughout the track. Gigi De Lana did a good job. Just a little side note off the topic, you reacted in the past to Eivør and you got me into her music. She will be playing the Electric Ballroom in London later this year.

Same with me. I love Gigi's voice and wanted to like all her performances but some songs she sang didn't touch me even if they were excellently performed and much appreciated by others. Her cover songs that deeply touched me were so addictive that I continue to listen to them over and over again. But I wonder why I wasn't touch by any of her original songs no matter how good they were and how hard I tried to like them.
