How do you twist your hair and make it stay twisted? When I twist mine, after I put a band at the end it untwists.

You need to twist the induvidual strands in a direction (let's say the right) and wrap them around each other on the opposite one (left)

What product do you use on your hair to get it to shape so well though? Like, I try pulling my braids and it looks terrible. And my hair won't stay in twists at all. And it never looks that full on the crown.

I've never seen that helical braid at 2:00 before. I guess it's a variant on the cobra stitch in bracelet weaving. My first attempt was a shaggy, loose mess, but I'm going to have another go. Does the middle piece need to be thinner then the outside ones?
