20 years ago I mailed Bam a letter from Oregon and he wrote back telling me about the movie coming out called CKY and told me if I liked his skits from Jump Off A Building I would like it. I wrote back and sent a interview for my school paper and he filled it out and sent it back with a picture of himself so I didn't have to use a already used picture from a magazine or website. Super awesome of him.

I don't have it anymore. It was 20 years ago.I had a period where I didn't care much for Bams career because the H.I.M. stuff and I just threw it out. It was all wrinkled and wore out.. I wish I would have kept it though.The picture was of him sitting on a skateboard wearing Nike skate shoes before they were cool.He looked like early CKY video Bam with shorter bull cut type hair covered in pimples. He even mentioned me in a TWS Last Words interview and confirmed it. Last Words is where they ask like 20 "last time you"questions like "last fast food you ate" the question was last time you wrote a letter and he answered "some kid sent me a letter and drawing and I wrote back saying "good job"..

Around 25 min in, when the dude calls about eating a blueberry muffin, I feel like the ending of the story made that so much funnier. That fact that he builds up this story with suspense and enthusiasm, as if it's going to be something disgusting, telling it in extreme detail for 5 minutes straight, just to end with him eating a muffin that "could've been stale" was hilarious. Also, Bam is an awesome guest. That dude keeps it real, unlike most celebrities. He's as honest as it gets for celebrities, and you guys are the perfect dudes to interview him. Hope to see him on the show some more. Word up!

when bam talks about skateboarding it reminds me of the real mentality it took to skate. he wasn't the uptight superiority complex skater. the guy recognizes skill for what it is. it validates myself in that i learned some pro level tricks. today these tricks aren't special anymore, but when they were new. were regarded as killer/epic/and what not. they still are today because people like him remind you just how hard they really are to learn and are dangerous even when you are fearless. shove-it late flip. kickflip noseslide. late backfoot flips. shove-it grabs, and flip grabs. impossible, blunt slides and lip slides. plain ole dropping in or just flipping a gap. it wasn't about the trick, it was about the style. you popped a specific way, or you caught a specific way. skating obstacles that weren't ever intended for it and going as fast as you could made you a legend. now, skateboarders are more like ballet dancers. they go slow, they act pretty, and cry when they bleed.
