Idk, people probably assume you're a fanboy when you talk too highly of something. Hype? There's some truth to that- also some people consider the music whiney or cringey. Imo they don't relate to or know what to do with what the lyrics/music makes them feel. If they'd look into it- there's a lot of different sounds... I noticed more people have been appreciative of The Fragile, lately. It's probably my favorite album still. Ultimately, a lot of it revolves around despair, self reflection, dark themes and existential views of the cold, technology/machine driven world humans continue to turn life into. Idk, some people don't want to think that much or feel anger/angst. Bunch of shit. What do I know? Well I know people gravitate to music that either aligns with what they understand or they have a carefree life where they really don't know why (or care why) they listen to what they listen to.

That’s me at 00:43 I was 18, I tossed my shirt because it was soaked it sweat and I dislocated my shoulder. I had a security guard motion for me to leave when he saw my arm hanging down ( I was about 15 feet from the guardrail ) and I waved him off and put it back in. I remember my friend calling me tell me they saw me on this song on the dvd tripping out it was a fond memory ❤

I did that once. At about 5 P.M. I realized I didn't want to fail the semester. I also realized I would need a lot of caffeine and no sleep. Lots of RC MAX cola, vivarine and pure drive and genius (which I still had then as a young man) I had the essay done by 8 A.M. On the way to my dorm to get an hour sleep before the paper was due I crossed paths with the professor for the class. He asked how my paper was going. I stood up strait, smiled , and said, "great". Then I passed him, slumped and almost threw up.

I'm pretty sure that was invented after I graduated. See, back in my day we had the FDA, the FCC, and some other elements of government that were in place to protect citizens from a complete takeover by oligarchs, fascists, or their foreign proxies. And, no, I haven't heard of it because I have never had health insurance while I was depressed. Is that a coincidence? A perfect little ...

lol sucks to be you old man im pumped up on thaT lexapro homeboy i aint nevah depressed ya dig? Nah thts crazy you never heard of adderall, i cant tell if youre being sarcastic or not.... but adderall is marketed as a drug for people with ADD but literally all it is is a combination of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine. its legal speed. even when you take a normal dose you get spun the fuck out. pretty sick stuff actually lol. but its not far off from meth, infact methamphetamine breaks down into dextroamphetamine as it goes through your system. wild shit. I remember in the early 2000's when i was growing up as a little kid man EVERYONE was on that shit. really not okay haha but hey im 22 now and when i drink ill pop an addy or two, we all know what the fuck it really is now lmao.

I listen to all kinds of metal, ranging from Industrial Metal to Groove Metal to even some Death Metal, but hardly any metal band I like managed to make a song that gets me moving like this one... My favourite NIN song, it's a shame Reznor didn't stick to the "As loud and angry as possible" style for longer, imagine what would've happened if he went full metal (with his industrial touch obviously)... But then again we got masterpieces such as The Downward Spiral and The Fragile, so I can't complain.
@AndreyFadeev-rw3jx

I guess it's really hard as you getting older. Besides, there are a lot more dimensions in music in which he could realize himself rather than trying to perform all these old angry songs which don't fit him anymore.

Yeah i know i'm also kinda upset why he isn't the old Trent anymore and i would also like to hear some new "Broken" material from NIN but from another viewpoint i totally understand him because as another commenter said now Trent has gotten older and has a beautiful life, a family, a successful career, he used to make these types of songs back in the day because his life was upside down, drugs, his grandmother dying so he made those angsty songs to relieve all the pain and rage in them, now that he's sober and he turned his life around there's no need to make new "metal" songs except to perform them from time to time, Trent made metal not because he really wanted to, but used them sort of as a "painkiller". I'm happy that he is in a better place now though.
@vincentsmith7723
@vincentsmith7723 Жыл бұрын
You guys have shit opinions damn…the progression of Trent’s career could not be anymore upwards. It’s actually ridiculous what one person accomplished. The fact he isn’t “metal” enough for you is just such a laughable thought. He stayed true to himself and has never stopped creating quality music that is better than anything you could have thought up.
