This reminds me of my grandfather. He was my hero. I dont have a very tight family, at least they never seemed to want to be, but he was my family. He taught me to work hard and be honest, to be a kind man. He died and I watched him go. This reminds me of my grandfather at the end.

This album is obscenely beautiful. Reminds me of the atmospheric washes of Fragile's (my favorite HALO) instrumentals. No attempt is made to try and create 'classics' or world changing material. It's all based in the moment; on subtlety and minimalism. Stunning.

To be honest, I've never completely listened to the Ghosts album in its entirety. There's a video on here with a compilation of Trent's best ambient music and heard this track on there. I knew it was from one of the Ghost's albums and I tracked this song down. Really good song. I really love it

I find it interesting how Trent Reznor used a banjo and used it to give the song a goth goth sound. Usually a banjo is only ever used in country music. Trent Reznor is so creative.

I heard it last in 2015 and I’ve been looking for it since 2017. It was on a random playlist that doesn’t exist anymore so I had no idea where to look and I’ve been going through every other album possible until today when I found this playlist with all the ghost albums I’m so happy right now! Sorry 😂 I didn’t even remember what the song sounded like whatsoever! I just knew i would eventually find it if it wasn’t a fan made song that got taken down or something.

I see many interoperate this song differently. I’ll tell you my experience. You see I discovered NIN fairly recently. This year. There were many things that happened and I’ve gotten very bored. I would essentially binge NIN albums to get as much I could of the songs into my heart (I am still going). Some I liked more than others. That’s okay. Things like entertainment and music are subjective. I like the ghosts tracks. The new one and this one. Of all the songs 28 Ghosts IV is my personal favorite. And that’s comparing it to all the other top songs Trent made. At least to me. I would put it somewhere high in a list. Maybe with Reptile? Somewhat Damaged? 28 just has a calm tone throughout. It also feels more sorrowful as it goes along. But even by the end to me it feels like hope or salvation is there. Like as grey as things get, color is still there. And it always will be. Shifting along time.

NiN has been a part of my whole life until this day, born in 83,I didn't know what I was to grow into, years down the line, I woke up one day thinking and knowing, I was an outcast. My best friend introduced me to this band when it was on an actual cassette tape, mind you.i first heard, the tape album, The Downward Spiral. Then I started to, I guess move into a different shell, and nin inspired me to yell at the "posers " ! Also to lead an artist like myself to greatness. I thank you for all the music and inspiration my friends.

Art is what you make it, wether its a painting, just a scenery, sounds crunched together to make music, or even just a piece af trash lying around. art is different to everyone and beautiful to some, trent reznor certainly has a way to make these sounds come together into an symphony of noise. and in no way am i referring to the site. these volumes are definately an aquired taste and the taste is awesome!!!

Reminds me of someone I know. A short journey from innocence, tainted early by obscene family, to a pubescence corrupted immediately by alcohol and drugs, then by meaningless sex forced upon her through intoxication by an older monster who didn't care. All of it culminated into a person who sees the corrupted nightmare that is her life as safe and normal. And I love her.

@champloo12345 Art is an expression. It can't be right or wrong. It's all how a person interprets it. I can draw a bad picture and it's art because someone may grab some emotion from it, even if the artist is the only one the art evoked emotion from. This all stems from, what is art? There are many different answers, but that was mine. It is an expression and if the person draws the crappiest picture I've ever saw, I guess they are an artist; they brought an expression on my face afterall.

@champloo12345 You dont need to force your own emotion on others. Thats not art imho. Art is showing people a different way to look at the world and letting them create their own emotions from it. I can see paint thrown against a canvas and realize its supposed to be the "artist" in anger but why should i care? Everyone gets angry. I have no connection to your anger. Show me a different way to look at the world or some beauty in everyday life and it sparks my mind and emotions.
