About Gibdo Bones: They are one of the only items in TotK you can get large amounts of without glitches. During Riju’s questline, there is a portion where you have to defend Kara Kara Bazaar by using Riju’s ability to take out a Gibdo hive. If you wait for Riju’s ability to charge, you can kill any Gibdo (and sometimes multiple at once) with only 1 arrow (you don’t even have to fuse anything to it.) Gibdos will always drop one bone. What you want to do is *WAIT BEFORE SHOOTING THE HIVE*. Get a bunch to follow you during the Kara Kara defense mission, shoot an arrow in the middle of them, then just collect all the bones and repeat. You get infinite arrows for this mission so just stock up on Bows. I got about 200 Gibdo bones from that mission and I still haven’t run out.

@LionsShareYT Жыл бұрын
I totally forgot about the cold/heat resistance! Definitely very useful.
@Mightylcanis Жыл бұрын
It's not technically resistance, it actually changes the ambient temperature. So ruby shields are good for melting nearby ice, and that was really handy for the wind temple in spots. The only downside is in areas where you'd need lv2 resistance, it overpowers a ruby/sapphire's ambient temperature shifting, and topazes don't give shock resistance which would be really cool. They also create that AOE explosion when your block is struck by an enemy, and that AOE doesn't harm you.

It's one of those massively freeform mechanics that can result in some really amazingly useful combinations in some instances. but the big caveat of it is that if you aren't particularly creative or experimental, and just use enemy horns to do big damage, it can feel kind of frustrating for not using the system to it's full potential.

Best fused weapons i always have are the magic staff/rod/scepter. The staff is a spear charge, scepter is 2 handed charge, rod is 1 handed charge. Rod is best. I fuse them with sapphire/ruby/topaz/opal and they summon 3 bolts of ice/fire/lightning/water. Another 2 less useful but fun fuses are korok frond stick and a beehive. Korok stick generates wind, and the beehive summons bees to attack enemies.

@LionsShareYT Жыл бұрын
Interesting. Rocket shields definitely work to propel you further, but they burn out super quickly. I’ll have to do some more testing with the fan shield.
@MikePrime13 Жыл бұрын
@@LionsShareYT It may not propel you forward, but please test also to see if it slows down the rate of descent while gliding. While you don't fly faster, you fall down at a much lower rate so the net distance covered during flight may be significant to think about. I just have this thought so I have not tested it myself yet.
@LionsShareYT Жыл бұрын
I did think of this as well. I’ll have to look into it. Thankfully, I think the minimap will be helpful for determining both the glide speed and the rate of descent.

Fusing rubies, sapphires, or elemental like like stones to weapons makes them do elemental damage. But more than that fusing them to either weapons or shields then equipping them works like the elemental weaapons in Breath- a ruby shield will keep you warm in cold weather, a sapphire one keeps you cool in the desert. This means you wont need elemental protection armor and can wear other sets like barbarian or climbing but not succumb to the weather.

I could be wrong, but I remember seeing another video that the fan shield is just cosmetic, and doesn't actually give you more speed when gliding. Pretty sure they even had a side by side video comparison showing the speed and distance you get using it vs a normal shield. Could be another good video idea to test and confirm, since I've heard conflicting information, and a solid test would be valuable for the community. It was a great video otherwise though, the Gibdo Bone idea is really smart actually!
