Hi Kelly, well that was a joy, thanks for showing us Amboise. Would love to go to France again one day but being in Australia who knows when I'll get there again. You certainly had me very jealous. OMG a roomba lawnmower, got to get one of those!!
@BookandPaperArts2 жыл бұрын
Yikes, Australia is one long flight, indeed. Those roomba lawnmowers fascinate me because back in the day there would have been sheep out there munching the grass down. Far more pastoral. Just a sign of the times. Hope you have a creative weekend! Kelly

Hi Laurie. Come on over, the water's fine! Oh, and Duolingo is okay but what really bumped up my game was Pimsleur. It costs but it is one of my indulgences as I love traveling in France and I just love learning for its own sake. Keep me posted! Kelly

Loved the video ,and your French is impressive!! The Lawn Rumba was too much, haha, in a good way, never knew there was a rumba for grass!! Funny to admire roof tops, but they are truly beautiful ..oh to travel to France on day!!! Thanks for sharing the adventure !
@BookandPaperArts2 жыл бұрын
Hi Debbie. Yeah, the "director" in me thought the lawn roomba was not "on brand" with the beauty and history and then I thought, heck, it is really part of the scene and hilarious. Seriously, whenever we see one, my husband makes me stop and watch it for about 20 minutes. 🙄😁😁

I love these videos with you in them. This one makes me happy because having studied French in school for many years as is mandatory in Canada, when I use my crummy French in Montreal..they answer me in English...ca va...oh well. xo

Hi Kim and thanks for the vote of confidence. I actually resist putting myself in videos as I want my art to be the star but well, thank you, my dear. As for using not-good French, it is one of the reasons I stay in smaller towns rather than big cities. I like going where everyone does NOT speak English and if I want a darn sandwich I have to step up to the plate and try or I ain't getting a sandwich! Montreal? I went there a few times and it was lovely and a fun place. Kelly

Valerie, I have actually thought of this and spent some time planning it with Rob (who does all of the driving and on these narrow roads that is something) but there is one problem - finding affordable accommodation for about eight is doable but I have only found such places to have one bathroom and then my thoughts go from creating and pages to the practical and I sigh and put it off. But when I figure out how to schedule six or eight people showering in one go, you will be on my list of who to contact. 😁😎😉🎨🎨🎨

That is a great idea. I can’t travel at this time but I would love that. I traveled through Eastern Europe years ago and we slept 6 in a 2 room I’m flat, sharing a bath down the hall with 4 others. You just conform to your surroundings, quick cold showers and out to explore. It’s about the experience, not about luxury. And Americans should prepare to WALK, WALK EVEYWHERE, lol.
@BookandPaperArts2 жыл бұрын
@@NolaTheAlamoChiliQueen Yes! You got it and you may join the cold shower art club as and when (But, of course, they are French cold showers, right?) You know, Nola, I have thought about it - leading the way to exploring, flea markets, wine tastings, cooking local, and lots of art lessons and making pages in situe. Maybe I should take it more serious! My friend Rob does all the driving so we could get a mini-van or whatnot. On-y-va !
