The item you put in the machine makes him sick. He’ll stop attacking every 20 seconds or so and start coughing and you can get like 6 free hits each time. But I’m still struggling with him, even with that lol. The charged parry is super hard to get a feel for. Especially when you’re trying to time the normal parries and you’ve got to commit to one or the other a millisecond after he starts an attack.

Yeah- didn't realize this was an Achievement. I really hate when they let you sell an item that is used for something like this. Also, the charged parry was rough for me to at first but I definitely got used to it near the end.

@ Oh wow. They give you the option to sell it?? I bet I’ve sold a couple things I shouldn’t have then. Sold a couple rings cause I figured they had no other use. I actually beat him right after I posted this. Now I’m stuck on Lady Ethereal. Definitely feels a lot like playing Sekiro for the first time. Bosses who seem impossible at first, slowly become more manageable with each death. They did a really good job with balancing difficulty. I’m surprised this game doesn’t have more attention.

I’ve died by falling into the trap and being respawned into his combo and instantly dying before I’ve had time to even dash. It’s happened to me 4 out of every 5 deaths. I’ve been trying for about an hour. If it wasn’t for those traps I would have definitely beaten him already. Those traps suck.

Got hit finally. Getting the unbound counter and the level 5 talisman in a couple times a phase took most of his health for me. Finished first phase with all 4 arrows and realized right at the end of the second phase I had 3 so I sent 2 of those and it finish him. The hardest part for me besides the traps were the tai-chi kick timing. I was able to get the unbound counter 9/10 times because there’s a tad more warning. I didn’t pick up the pattern enough to know when he was going to use the green unblockable.

Yeah, not a fan of how this game can trap you into attacks without you really being able to get out at points.
