My makeup regrets aren't about spending a lot on a single product, but more like the amount of products I use to buy. One person can only use so many lip products. I've been a lot more careful and thoughtful about my makeup purchases in the last 8 months or so. I also really relate to the videos you've posted in the past about shopping addiction.

I regret buying the Melt Amor face palette. I can use 1 on my very fair skin tone. And I've used the matching eyeshadow palette twice. Those were expensive regrets. I only bought the Beetlegeuse palettes the year before. I love them. I've used them a ton. The formula is still great. This was a success for sure. Did you see the holiday palettes from Melt this year? 4 mini palettes that highlight the dark side of the 4 zodiac signs. (Earth, Fire, Water, Air.) I'm glad you are coming back into makeup. For me, the biggest regret was the sheer *amount* I had that I've eventually had to toss because it went bad/color didn't suit me and the amount I have decluttered/given away. I've had the color schemes that work for me and the formulas I like and I'm good. Do I check in every once in a while to see what's new? Yeah. But the only brands I'm really keeping an eye on are indie: Rituel de Fille, Sydney Grace, Terra Moons and one or two more. I also am a pale, muted warm olive who looks best in warm autumn color schemes, so there's not a whole lot of variety there.

I bought mine for like 12 dls 🤭 i love the brand and try to collect all of the palettes but the Conspiracy one was not really appealing for me. So 12 dls for a palette I rarely use sounds good to me 😅

I have four "high end" makeup items, all of which I use. I love my Chanel 4-pan eyeshadow kit; it was purchased with a Sephora gift card from a very good friend. My BareMinerals OG Original loose powders (2 adjoining colors, one original finish, one matte) are absolutely the best foundation items I've ever used, and I've been using the original one for twenty years. And the IT CC cream is on its way out; I've gone through 3 over the past 5 years and I'm just tired of it. So there. I've got a decent collection of other basic, and not-so-basic items, and all of them are fun because they were not too expensive. So that's my jam. Good, reliable products that last well, feel good and didn't break my bank. Now if I could just stop buying expensive chocolate...

The funny thing about that Triochrome palette is when I do reach for it I love the looks I get, but I still don’t reach for it. Now here’s true foolishness, I went and bought the circo loco palette because I thought it would force me to use TriChrome more often😩

The Conspiracy palette is one of my greatest regrets. The color story and formulas were so disjointed and chaotic I had the hardest time putting together looks with it! And I don't have that issue with any other palette from any other brand! LOL

I remember the watching the shane series and getting all hyped up for the palette and when it was shown I was like……ew! And didn’t purchase. I did have other JS palettes but ended up depoting it and later decluttering them.

I feel like this for boujee lipsticks. Some have a nice scent, the colors are nice but there is not enough variety for me to want more than one. Plus most of the times the packaging doesn't entice me. Expensive brand have lipsticks which are weighted, they feel nice, but I think I'm too much of a tacky/edgy kind of person to be impressed by a simple and classy looking lipstick. I still like the most Manic Panic with their silly lipsticks with strasses and the writing 'In glam we trust', and those were like 12 bucks!

There is an Indie makeup brand that sets the Goth part of my heart aflutter. You might like it too. Motetz Dam Cosmetics, their makeup is Vampire themed. They are getting ready to release a palette called "Gothferatu". It is Adorbs! Maybe do a review?

you should have seen me, a new ulta had come to tennessee and i knew what brand hold true, i went into debt, i got a loan of 2 grand and i got turn loose in ulta, and i bought 2 ysl lipsticks, 4 two faced palettes, eyeliners for miles, mascara for days, bronzers, blushes, you name it, it was in my cart i felt like i was on a tv show of shop til you drop kind of environment, i was grabbing stuff i saw beauty tubers show case, i exceeded the limit and thank the stars my hubby had a few hundred dollars on him, and i felt like the big rich queens i actually felt like i belonged to something special!! i still have all the things, but i never bought anything more, i wont ever declutter any of it.

My regerts are the Adept Plain Jane and Ninhydrin palettes, the Huda Mercury in Retrograde palette, and the JS Jawbreaker palette 😅😅😅 None of them are terrible, I am just underwhelmed by them and wish I never got bought them 🤣🤣

I bought the conspiracy palette as well because I got sucked into the hype. I have never used it lol. I also don't know why I keep buying Natasha Denona because I never reach for the palettes ever. I've wasted so much money. 😪 Love your vids!

I absolutely loathe...LOATHE Natasha Denona eyeshadow. I'm so beyond tired of the hype to her way overpriced garbage. I kept hearing all of these "holy grail" videos to her crap so I tried one of those 5 pan minis that was on sale a while back cause I wasn't about to drop $130 on a palette, especially if I wasn't familiar with the brand. I got better quality from a Wet n Wild quad and I hate most WnW shadows too. So I thought: ok, maybe it's because it was a mini and the quality wasn't as good as a full sized. So when I came across a full-sized discounted palette for $32 that was an overall color story I liked, I bought it... I'm pissed I threw away $32 like that. 😑 It took me almost 2 HOURS to get a look I could do in 15 min with one of my other less expensive palettes and I still wasn't happy with it in the end (not to mention it faded and creased like crazy later). The shadows were very hard to work with. My favorite color in the whole thing was that weird matte gel formula and it's horrendous. ...and it's not that I'm not familiar with gel mattes - I adored the Marc Jacobs ones (RIP to that brand, ugh). I used almost half the damn shade in one look cause it kept disappearing and every time I lightly dipped my brush in, it looked like a toddler squished it's finger in it. Now it has that annoying hard layer and I can't get any color unless I constantly scrape off the top. The shimmers were awful. Just.....I truly have nothing positive to say. I get way more from my $8 BH Cosmetics palettes. Their formula is 10× superior than 90% of these luxury brands for less than 1/4 of the price, it's insane. F*ck ND specifically, though. If people want to continue wasting their money on that laughably overpriced garbage, then that's on them. But fair warning....DO NOT believe the YT hype on that brand.

I feel the same way on the conspiracy palette. I have never used it due to it giving me no creative juices flowing to be able to come up with something worth while. I use it as decor now because it took up touch space lol

So a palette I think would satisfy you since colored raine juicy boost is lurella pride and best part it’s 50% off I think it’s $12 and the color is there absolutely great pigment I so remember you getting frustrated using it I felt so bad I did yell at tv saying stick damn it and my husband asking what kinda glue you need 😂 I have the mini Natasha glows and a liquid eyeshadow and I love them the big full ones I lived through you I got a baby I can’t spend that and not think of all learning resources toys I could’ve bought ugh I think this video was great hindsight I think would change all our minds in beauty community I also have compulsive shopping due to side effect of medicine but it’s better with than without you know what I mean well I chewed ear off have great weekend I’m dying in 108+ weather so binge watching
