Thanks for this review. My husband bought it for me a Christmas present and I'm not unpacking it until we move. I'm glad to hear it holds up well and can cope with nuts!

Good value for money I would say, happy with my blender, I don't know too much about the rest of the equipment to be fair.

Great review! I've been looking for the right mid-range machine for making ice cream from frozen fruits, nut milks and veg smoothies as well as cakes/pastries. So this has really helped me decide and I am going to order the Ninja processor set. Thanks so much!

Great piece of kit so far and for home cooking it does the job. Maybe now with Black Friday you find a really good price. Btw, if you decide to buy it, please use the Amazon affiliate link from the description of the video, it costs you nothing extra. Have a great evening!😁

Thanks for the review, good to know you are still pleased with it, I have just bought one. Which setting do you use for making the almond butter, a set one or manual? I imagine the manual, thanks
@KitchenDraft2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jill, thanks for stopping by and for watching my video! I use the manual speed on high, it will take up to 10min depending on how smooth you want your butter to be.👍

IMO a design flaw caused a tiny piece to break off a lid and I cannot replace it, so I can no longer use the product.

Thank you for the Ninja BN800 video's. Interested to buy one. No issues with loading ice cubes into both the large and smaller "single portion" jugs?? The manual warns not to load ice cubes in them.

Thanks for watching and stopping by for a chat! I can't say that I do a lot of ice in particular with it but I do make smoothies with frozen fruits without any issues. The ice or frozen ingredients will harm the blades in time, that's for sure, but for the time being I have no issues. 😁

Have you used the single serve for grinding?? Pepper corns and dried spices etc
@KitchenDraft Жыл бұрын
I've never used it specifically for spices, to be fair I think for that there are better tools than this out there. It would work, but you need quite a lot of spices in order to get enough traction on the blades, if this makes sense 😁

Hi, I’ve tried making a milkshake but turn into soup .. do you know the right ratio for it please and have you tried making a milkshake??
@KitchenDraft Жыл бұрын
Yes, I make milkshakes quite often, but it all depends on what you are using in terms of ingredients. I would say that you need 60% fruit and 40% milk, but again depending on how much water content your fruits have this will influence your end results. I would sugest starting with less liquid and if the consistency doesn't feel righ, just add more in the process. This way you can form a recipe of your own, the way you like it, because what is watery to me might not be to you and otherwise. I hope this helps, let me know in case you need more help.👨🍳 Have a great day!👌

The plastic base gear of mine seems to have burnt through and partially broke off after about a year. Luckily still had warranty but these things aren't made to last. The fabulous claims about the durability of the plastic is nothing more than a pipe dream.
@KitchenDraft Жыл бұрын
I am sure that these things can happen but mine is still going strong 😁 and especially at this price I can't complain

Is it good for daily use cooking ? I watched both reviews the first one you mentioned that it is not for heavy use so I am rethinking buying it 😓 and if you tried grinding spices would be helpful if you inform me how it worked 🙈
@KitchenDraft Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for your questions. In my opinion this is not suitable for spices because when you grind spices you usually do it in smaller amounts with very high speed. When it comes to every day use, this might not be the best option (mine still works fine but I only use it about 3 times a week) Now what you need to factor in is the price, at this price you might not find something better. A professional blender will cost you more than £500 but if you have the budget, I would go for something like that, if the plan is to use it a bit more heavily.

Check the affiliate links down below: Amazon UK: amzn.to/3nrHdPR Amazon US: - 1400W amzn.to/3FBdslW - 1500W amzn.to/3I4KADX For Amazon US I could not find the exact match (my understanding is that BN800UK is solely made for The UK) but there are some Ninja options pretty similar and at a really good price at the time when the video was posted.

I am missing one thing there.... whipping cream ... I have tried twice and both times I made butter instead of whipped cream ... I don't know how to adjust power as in low mode is still too much 😕
@KitchenDraft2 жыл бұрын
There is a problem here... For whipped cream you would need a whisk to get it where you want it to be. This machine is not suitable for this kind of job really. I would suggest using a hand mixer or if you want to go a lot cheaper, a normal balloon whisk will do,just add your cream to a bowl and do this by hand (it sounds complicated but it's not) this way you control the cream thickness a lot better.

When i was young your mother threw out the blender that was 15 years old because she got tire of the color. Same thing with the fridge. Today 5 months is a nilestone. Ugh
@KitchenDraft Жыл бұрын
Yeh, I guess the standards have changed, but it comes a lot to how much care you'll take of it. Also it's worth saying that this is not a heavy duty machine (mine is still fine after more than a year), you can get something like Robot Coupe or Thermonix and these will last a huge amount of time in harsh conditions, it all comes to how much money you want to spend on it.

Are you allowed to put hot liquids in? I just bought it and want to make soup with it 😊
@KitchenDraft2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jasmin, Thank you for watching my video! I have made multiple pots of soup since I've bought this and I had no issues. Maybe consider leaving the soup to cool down slightly before blending, this should help protecting the seal rings long term (in my opinion) :)

5 months is not long enough to justify an evaluation. The old fashion blenders lasted for ever. This type with all the plastic components will be good and last for just 2-3 years after that we will begin to notice a reduced quality performance.
@KitchenDraft3 ай бұрын
You might be right, but what better alternatives do you have right now at this price? I can tell you that Thermomix makes 10 times better blenders than this, but it also costs 10 times more. Thanks for watching 😁

Can you make ice cream with it?
@KitchenDraft2 жыл бұрын
Hi, it doesn't have freezing capabilities. But if you need to turn something into a purée before making the ice cream, that would work. This is not designed to make ice cream from beginning to end.
