I made yellow rice in the combi, and it turned out kind of crunchy. I followed the recipe, 1 cup rice, 2 cups water. Any thoughts on what I did wrong?

Did you cook it with something on the top tray like this chicken or just rice by itself? I cook rice (jasmine usually) like this with chicken and it always comes out perfect. Brown rice can be tricky in the ninja. If I use the rice function I still put the top tray in even if I do not have anything on it to avoid the fan blowing on the rice. Thanks for watching.

@realfoodprep ah it was by itself as I had just crisped a chicken (which was amazing) and had no room, so did it afterwards. Maybe that's why

Do you think you can put the crisper tray on the bake tray so that the chicken won't be sitting in the drippings? Enjoy all your recipes.

I really never thought about that but that makes perfect sense, I will give it a try! Thanks for watching!

There are nine spice containers on the counter but I count only 5 spices in the description. What are the spices on the counter? I really want to make this!

I placed the spices out on the counter and my daughter used what she wanted but to the 6 ingredients listed I would add aleppo pepper (the big countaine on counter) or cayenne to taste for spice, 1/2 tsp cumin and 3/4 tsp garlic powder. Thanks for watching!
