Just in case anyone has water going everywhere and you look at this helpful vid and say to yourself "wait my machine doesn't have a 'basket' like that"- make sure someone you live with didn't set it on the side somewhere before they came to ask you to fix the coffee maker. If the k-cup part is in and the grounds basket isn't underneath it, the water will leak out the same way.

Thank you I was able to fix my coffee maker from this my rubber gasket had come off and this showed me where it went.

Thank you! We were ready to take it back. The first cup went great and then someone in the household took the basket out between that first cup and the second cup (s) and we never noticed...coffee spattering every where. So glad I saw our post.

So when using the Kcups, the grounds basket has to be placed into the coffee maker also?

@@aaronsg71 yup. The basket is always in. It's the k cup part you remove when you're just making a drip pot of coffee with grounds.

Has anyone had problems with the k-pod part popping open during a brew? Or only brewing half of the ounces you select, and it being very watered down? I took a video but I don’t seem to be able to post it.

WOW! This is insane! So the instruction manual that came with my dual brew coffee maker is WRONG! It says to take the basket OUT and replace it with the kcup adapter. THAT is why it sprays everywhere! The basket NEEDS TO STAY IN! The Kcup adapter will sit comfortably in the basket. I am both so relieved, and yet, a bit more mad. LOL!

Our manual doesn’t say one way or the other that I’ve been able to find in two years, and I’ve never been sure. 🤦🏽‍♀️
