Hi. I don't even know your name, but God bless you for saving my day. I have a newer model of the Ninja 2-basket Foodi, and even after contacting Ninja by phone earlier, the rep to whom I spoke didn't have a clue how to cook a game hen in my air fryer, but he told me to do a Google search, and thankfully up you popped right away. And not only did you explain exactly how to cook the hen at what temperature and for how long, and what the internal temp should be, and even what seasoning and spray oil you used (which I will look for when I head out to Walmart a little later), but you were so natural. I have seen way too many KZbin videos where the person can't get through three words without stopping and starting, and probably spend more time editing than they do making their video with all the jumpy cuts they make. So, I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to see a real live human being behaving like one, rather than a perfect little robot. I gotta rush now, but I subscribed to your channel, and I'm sure I will be back time and time again. Thanks again for saving the day. I wanted to make game hens for my landlord, with whom we share the same living space, for his birthday dinner tomorrow. And I truly needed to know if I could cook one in my Foodi, and if so, how, before I go out shopping later. There would be no point in buying a couple of hens if I found out once I got home that I can't cook them in the Foodi, or worse, if I could but didn't know how. In fact, there is an Air Broil feature on mine which I use to cook single pieces of boneless chicken thighs, or boneless pork chops perfectly that I was planning to use for the hens, but after seeing you bake yours, I looked in the beginning of the manual again, and sure enough, that's their recommended setting for things like game hens. So, again, finding you was right on time, and I can't tell you how grateful I am. Take care, and keep making these awesomely true-to-life videos!

Just purchased one of these. I baked sour dough baguettes last night. I took out the shelf and oiled the base of the baskets. Baked 3 medium size sour dough baguettes in each basket sideways making sure theres plenty of room in between each baguette..8 minutes bake on 210 degrees then turn and 7 mins more. They came out far better than in a conventional oven. So crispy outside soft inside. A good batch for the freezer. Sour dough bread so much more healthy than normal bread. Easy on the tummy

I love my ninja duel air fryer I cook all my meats in there and they cook fast. Just picked up two Cornish game hens and came across this recipe and it looks very good. I can put three chicken thighs if they are good size in one basket and it only takes around 20 to 22 minutes to cook those and they come out fantastic. The pork tenderloin comes two in a package I season those and I put one in each basket takes a total of 22 to 26 minutes...

Hi Daily Comfort, 350F for the Cornish hen-heck I would cook the hen and potato onn350F then the last 10 minutes add asparagus. The 10 minutes depends on your asparagus and how you like it cooked.

Start potato’s first then add the hens- should be enough room to add both the potatoes and hens. Then I just place asparagus in top

Quick question. Does this do anything different than the Foodi? I am just now starting to use my Foodi pretty regularly and I am hoping it will do all of this.

It does everything the Foodi does except pressure cook and this is the Walmart version- so it doesn’t have broil and bake. But I will beattempting to bake something in it. I do however miss the brook function. But I have the ninja kitchen one waiting for me when I return home.

Is that a medium size chicken? It look like it could fit a large chicken ?
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
Its a Cornish game hen about 3.5 pounds. The dual fryer air basket may fit a 4 pound chicken but it would be hitting the sides-which would prevent browning. When Igo to market again I will look for a 4 pound chicken-tough to find sometimes. Thanks Business Account!

"Chica Licka Bam Bam" PMSL!! OMG Lisa sounds like a 1970's pop group - some of the names you Americans give your foods do crack me up, what with "Slap your Mama" I love it I really do!! Just remind me again Lisa what is the difference between "smart finish and "match cook"?
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
Hi David! I know lol. The names make me laugh then I have to buy- lol. Smart finish is you have two separate items/ foods cooking at different times- for example a baked potato-55 minutes and a chicken breast -15 minutes. The potato will start cooking first then the chicken will start to cook when there is 15 minutes left in the potato. The match cook. Match cook is cooking the same item / food in each basket- you only have to set up zone one for temp and time then press match cook and zone 2 will automatically use zone 1 settings. Hope this makes sense- lol. Thanks David!
