This was not a Ninja Gaiden game. It really shows that tomonobu itagaki was not involved. He stayed true to the older nes ninja gaiden games in many ways. This game is a disgrace and should be ignored. shame it had to happen to such a great series.

You know what? I'm just remembering how much different the gameplay of Razor's Edge was. The original version was much more cinematic, while RE just kinda threw you in with the wolves. I must admit, I may like watching a playthrough of NG3. But I still love Razor's Edge.

It looks like they wanted to put some God Of War vibe into NG. Some giant bosses with cinematic scenes, simplified combat and typical GOW platform elements, Ryu that is now serial killer without mercy. This franchise never needed that kind of vibe becuse it's good on its own and now is cut out from original identity. Even graphics looks worse.

I dont mind seeing Ninja Gaiden with some god of war vibes, I think NG3 is an ok game, not great as NG1 and 2, the problem is that they put drama elements in this game that turn Ryu into an emotional cunt, took away many weapons and ninpos, the red, blue and yellow essences are gone, no Rachel, and the story is lame.

For me, It looks waaay to similar to bayonetta (idk too much about videogames) I swear that there are even scenes that are too similar, both are hack and slack, the health bar is very similar, in both there is a gigan superpowerful woman as a boss (Jubileus in boyenetta) where you have to attack the face when she falls in to the floor, in minute 7:17 the boss seems very similar to Temperanta in boayonetta, in both you have to destroy small orange circles due to take the arms out, and finally you hace to go to the facee, and both tmeperantia and this boss shoots lasers from the face like in minute 8:41 , in both you have to protect someone like in minute 9:29 (Cerecita in bayo) and fight a clone of you that chages phase like in minute 9:42 (joy in bayonetta), etc. as i googled bayo is a bit older (3 years of difference in launches) even though I don't think they are similar enough to say it's a copy

Saunak Long ive been a fan of the series since i was a kid and i grew up playing the first ninja gaiden but i still love 3 it had the best story and gave people a look at how kind ryu can be (except for killing that dude at the start) they did a great job at making him seem like he would be a great father instead of just a fiend killing super ninja I actually love ng3 even though it lost its difficulty but if you only like ninja gaiden for its difficulty your not a real fan

I don't like Ryu killing defenceless people. But if you remember NGB there was this cutscene where Ryu crashes a train into another train that had a guy driving it. And even so, the two trains explode in a massive way... So, yeah, Ryu kills inocent people since NGB and I think that it's ok, because he is a ninja, not a hero. He is a warrior of the shadows. Also the guy who killed at the begining was in the wrong side, he did what he had to do

17:10 Ryu stops a titan-sized Dragonsword with his raw strength, the Blade of the Archfiend was strong enough to block it before breaking, if he used a normal katana it would've broke fairly easy, the building he was standing on could have collapsed beneath him but didn't probably because he used ninpo to keep it from collapsing? idk just a thought but to sum it all up, Ryu's strength is strong enough to hold up a giant building-sized couple hundred tons sword.

They improve on the graphics for game play but the graphics for cut scenes decrease on reaslism , unlike ninja gaiden black the cut scenes were dramatic and hyper realistic , but in this game the cut scenes are bland and they look like game play

The other weapons are free updates.i like all three and this one actually had some elements of 2. 2 is best overall for me but I liked this alot

Still don't understand why they had to show his face he's a fucking ninja yes you see his face in dead or alive but still they shouldn't have revealed it in Ninja Gaiden. I fucking hate Hayashi I honestly do. I want Itagaki back man he knows how to make a game. 8 years later and I'm still playing Ninja Gaiden 2 on master ninja it's fun but a challenge at the same time too. And the graphics were fucking awesome for Ng2 as well. Ng4 Itagaki. If Hayashi decides on making Ng4 they better work hard as hell and take years to make it. He better take another look at Ng Black and 2 before he does cause those are two masterpieces. Take notes Hayashi be smart.

+Bruce Wayne first of all first Ninja Gaiden was released in October 1988, then on XBOX and it was an outstanding game, nothing like ur crappy god of war. Ninja Gaiden Black is still in the hardest games list along with SOULS series, your GOD OF WAR is just an easy game with a bunch of quick time events. I don't find GoW ugly, but NINJA GAIDEN IS A MASTERPIECE

Yes folks, every Ninja Gaiden you slaughter "EVERYTHING" that moves, yet they judge Ryu for taking out someone who would've stabbed him in the back given half a chance. You all realize he joined a terrorist organization right? Maybe not because your misguided self righteousness stopped you from trying something new. I agree with you. NG3 was awful. They took out what make Ninja Gaiden awesome. Battleling Demons and all evil creatures. Now they change it to Technology and Androids. The same crap they made in Ninja Gaiden 3 for the NES, they made it here too. Come on...whatever happen to the good old days when you had to fight demon Ninjas, Oni Samurais, Hellish Creatures and all. Now Ryu fighting Robot Spiders, Helicopters, Clone T-Rexs, etc. Its like the creator wanted to make it so into the modern age...well, it sucked. SUCKED BIG TIME, WE HATED IT. TOTAL FAILURE. If by some miracle, Yousuke decides to make NG4, if he runs of ideas, or he doesnt have any new ones...have him have a page of S.O.S for the fans to send their ideas and all. The Fans could send thousands of ideas for Yousuke to have...what new moves Ryu could obtain, new Jutsus and weapons, new scenarios and story, new enemies and monsters. Hope that we can see a new Ninja Gaiden game for the Upcoming Game Consoles, PS5 and X-box Scarlet.

+Alerion Horizon You kinda missed out and you kinda didn't. NG3/Razor's Edge has a better combo system where combos just chain together like DMC, but it suffers from the same problem as Sigma 2: everything takes too damn long to kill, you feel like you whacking them with a stick and not a sword. What they need to do is just make a new NG game like NG2, with the awesome fast pace gameplay and quick obliterations, but without the cheap projectile spamming multi rocket guys and incendiary ninjas.

When the game was originally released, it was called Ninja Gaiden 3. You literally could only use 3 weapons. The sword, bow (when you get it), and the shurikens. That's it. No replay value whatsoever. What people tend to forget is that NG 3 was also released on Nintendo's system at the time. The shocker? 1) it was called Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge. 2) you could play as 3 other characters. 3)you could use other wrapons. In other words...replay value. #4 is the real shocker. Nintendo's version had the blood n gore. It was the last three reasons why the game was rereleased for both ps and xbox. I know because i still have both versions.
