NINJA GAIDEN 3 THE ANCIENT SHIP OF DOOM IS THE BEST OF THE ORIGINAL 8 BIT NES TRILOGY. YES EVEN BETTER THAN NINJA GAIDEN 2 THE DARK SWORD OF CHAOS. BUT ALL 3 ARE AWESOME PERIOD.👍💪

Plot maybe is stupid but in the end, of all NES Ninja Gaiden games this one is the most polished one. I mean, after two games they got rid of few glitches that pretty much made first two games so unbearabely difficult. And I love it. At least Japaneese version. US release fucked up difficulty quite bad. Underrated game.

This takes place in between Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2. Meaning #2 is the last story line

There are ROM hacks to fix the game and make it like the Japanese version again. Really fun NES game, the whole NG series are some of my fave games of all time.
