Yup it's the same devs Team Ninja. It's also been implied Nioh is in the same universe as Ninja Gaiden, since you can fight Jin Hayabusa in Nioh who is an Ancestor of Ryu Hayabusa.

As a huge fan of the series myself who has played and beaten all 3 of these, I absolutely do not recommend this $40 "Master" collection. They did the absolute bare minimum to this port and it is a rip off. If you have an XBOX you're better off buying Ninja Gaiden Black & Ninja Gaiden 2 off the Live store for like $10 I think, which you can play in 4K and experience the game in all its uncensored glory. Or if you're on PC you can try emulating them, but this port isn't worth it. I suppose if you're brand new then you might not care and might have a great time with the games, but as a longtime fan myself I'm insulted by how barebones this port is.

The originals NG, Black and NG2, are my favorite games, ever, so I was disappointed they did not include them in this collection but I understand why. Something about the source code or something not being available. I bought the collection for the PS5 because NG3 RE is not 4K Enhanced for the X1X, Series X consoles which I have the original games on. I started playing NG1S and NG2S in this collection and quickly discovered that I prefer the original enhanced games, in their original form, so I will continue playing 1 and 2 on my Series X, and play NG3 RE from this collection.
