For me it’s the first mission on MN that’s tough. Make sure you use health when needed while trying to save at least 1 potion for Muari. And don’t give up! After the first mission the rest is fairly manageable. Jay is right UTs are important so you can have a good amount of money.

Just got the achievements for getting master ninja rank on all chapters. 1. All you have to do is get master ninja once on that chapter . So if your playing master ninja and get master ninja on some chapters but not all of them keep note on which ones you didn’t and then play again. All you have to do is get master ninja on the chapters you didn’t the first time 2. Racheals counts so you have to get legendary hunter on hers for the achievement to unlock 3. One thing I did for score since I didn’t do the fiend challenge to get the extra spirit of the devils was equip the equipment armor of intelligence that gives you a extra ninpo slot for the end of chapter bonus

Hey Jay, thanks so much for the guide. One thing on my gaming bucket list I've never managed to do is complete a Ninja Gaiden on master ninja so these videos are going to be very helpful. I'm curious, do you plan on doing Sigma 2 as well? I know the game is contentious, but as someone that owns a Ps5 it's the only one I have available.

Having suffered through and beaten NGII on MN difficulty for the 360 back in the day, decided to give NGS a go for the first ever time since it's now on Game Pass and go for all achievements. After stuttering a bit through Hard I managed to get through VH fairly comfortably. Now having to get MN rank on all missions on MN difficulty and this mission was kicking my ass. Video definitely helped with some strats and approaches to fights and how to maximize karma. Hopefully follow along with the full series and get out the other end with my achievement.

I swear 90% of my deaths on this stage on either VH or MH are due to the unblockable grab. It's so fast and the range is kind of insane. It's the ultimate run killer, and it's like no matter how perfect you're playing, one grab can ruin everything and can snowball into death in the blink of an eye before you even realized what happened. It's pretty infuriating. I've yet to come up with a way of dealing with it.

I’m pretty sure that back track saving adds an extra 5 mins to the mission time, I couldn’t get MN Rank until I saved only once.

The time limit for Chapter 1 on MN is 16 minutes 59 seconds so you definitely have time to save after each fight post the gauntlet at the beginning. What score did you get when you weren't getting the MN rank?

@@JayTB123 Thx for the reply, it was taking me about 24 mins so my score was low. I ended up putting on the Azure Blue Dragon Helmet and finally got MN Rank. Im on Ch3 now. Your commentary is so helpful. Thx so much!!

Hey JayTB your videos is awesome like always i have a question you play on ps4 or ps5 ? I play on ps4 my copy of Ninja Gaiden Master Collection have no decapitation on human only Fiends why in your videos human have decapitation tell me what copy NG you have

I am playing on PS4 for the moment, not tried it on PS5 yet. Not sure if there is some sort of region difference with regards to the decaps, they weren't in the EU/PAL versions of NG04 or original Sigma either.

@@JayTB123 I have disc copy of Ninja Gaiden Master Collection i import this from Japan and im from Poland i know Japan games remove some gore from the games but my friend buy NG Master Collection on digital and is the same no decapitation on human only fiends. On PC decapitation is normal like in Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden Black

@@reedyshadowryu6996 The Japanese and Asian English releases have censored decapitations in Sigma 1 & 2, the U.S. PSN* only version doesn't. I wanted to import a copy but this made me just bite the bullet and go digital. Razor's Edge isn't censored in any version. I heard the original Asian English releases of Sigma 1 & 2 had decapitations so that's really strange imo, but the Japanese version of Sigma games have always been censored.

how are you not getting grabbed all the time? im constantly dying to the ninjas jump grabbing me and stabbing me to death!

Pay attention to what the ninjas on the ground are doing when you are attacking the others. I've mentioned this before but when you launch an enemy watch what the ninjas on the ground are doing, if you see them repositioning near you, delay you combo with a shuriken and then if they roll delay again into helm splitter. That roll is very often followed by them attempting to grab you. If you keep your air combos delayed you will get grabbed significanty less as you force them to move as you land so they're not waiting for you.

I've been trying for hours to get through the first chapter of Master Ninja mode. That room with the dozen flame ninja is just overwhelming. I notice you don't seem to get so heavily spammed by incendiary shurikens in your fights either. Is there something about these guys AI that I should be aware of in order to cut down on that?

In general they will throw them less if you keep them closer to you and if you launch one but leave them on the floor you'll only have two to deal with and they tend to throw them less then as well.
