also roughly how long does this game take ? maybe a week if I play 2 to 3 hrs a day ? sorry for all the questions. thanks

+RawDawg903 2-3 hours a day? Well that depends on how well you're playing and if you're going through everything smoothly or dying a lot. If you were going through the game just fine without struggling, you should be able to beat within 3-8 days at best.

***** thank you. Im sure I'll die a lot. I think I remember playing this in 9th or 10th grade when it first came out, and giving up because I just couldn't get past a certain point. I'll try again now and see how I do. I found a copy for 5 bucks at a store. I still have the original demo disc from official xbox magazine back in 03' lol. But I know in the real version, you start off with less moves and weapons.

is this game really hard ? and is it true that when you start the game off, you don't have all these moves ? like the mid air dashing move decapitates them ( jump then press forward and X / its like a teleporting move through the air ) ???

+RawDawg903 I wouldn't call it extremely hard although it's very challenging depending on which difficulty you play on. If you put it on Normal and understand how the enemies fight, then it's easy. Higher difficulties will more than likely cause a lot failures. But once you overall understand their attack patterns, then beating hard, very hard, and master ninja is easy.

RawDawg903 There is a new game plus but only for the difficulty that it was beaten on. So yes, if you beat it on normal, you keep all your upgrades only on normal. If you attempt hard mode or higher, you start back over with nothing until it's beaten. And this is only for the original Ninja Gaiden. If you play Ninja Gaiden Black or Ninja Gaiden Sigma, they removed new game plus. But like I said, the game isn't really that hard. Matter of fact, Ninja Gaiden is actually a cakewalk. When you play this game, there are these things you have to collect starting in chapter 3 called scarabs. When you collect a certain amount, there will be muramasa statues that give you rewards based on how many you have. Once you reach a certain amount (45 scarabs), muramasa will give you the armlet of tranquility. What that basically does is regenerates your health even in a fight. But you overall won't need but it will make the game much easier. If you ever get stuck or need help, just ask me for advice. And thanks for you enjoying the walkthrough.

Ryu getting charged up by an XBOX? Shameless self-insert much? Also, this has to be the least stealthy ninja game in recent memory. He can't even land a sneak attack as enemies always know where he is.

+Elyseon Yeah, it's a self insert but I thought it was pretty funny. As for the game, it wasn't meant to be stealthy. It features a ninja but it's hack and slash, which I'm actually glad to see because I think it would have been a bit boring for him to be stealth killing throughout the game. Or they could have done a mixture of both, but I overall prefer hack and slash when it comes to stealth.
