Ninja is why these little kids are even as good as they are to begin with. Competitive became a thing because Ninja brought so much traction to the game which allowed events like the world cup to happen, which gave the motivation for these people to get better at the game, myself included. Hell the first competitive event in the game's history was hosted by him. Unlike most of these little kids I can actually give respect where it's due, game wouldn't be half of what it is without him.

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve started to play again to see what’s changed. I stopped playing about season 8 when creative became such a staple for zone wars and edit courses etc. I’ll admit the sbmm kind of helps, but as someone that used to play the game day in day out since season 1 up till season 8, it doesn’t work because the newer players have just grinder enough to be the same career level as me. I can’t compete anymore and the drive to play the game has just fallen off for not only me but so many other people. Ceeday, Fearless, Tfue, the entire of tsm, and a lot of the original fortnite faze team doesn’t play anymore. It’s extremely sad to see because it had so much potential as a chilled out cartoony br game for everyone to just enjoy with friends. Then the introduction of these modes like creative allowed people to improve at excelled rates instead of natural progression which ultimately leads us to now. The games unplayable man, soon enough it’s gonna be a thing of the past. They don’t even know they’re losing more concurrent players then they are gaining. Could’ve been so much more but they devoted their focus to competition.

A lot of people today are spoilt with gaming and other tech being more accessible, appealing and affordable, therefore they feel entitled, therefore raging is more common when things don’t go their way, and it’s mostly kids w/ poor parenting. I think anyone pinning the blame on others are part of the problem why toxicity occurs because, again, no one can/will see how being privileged has changed before 2018. @username PREACH srsly tho it’s clear that the community is too split between comp and casual for Epic to do anything without making at least one side lose their crap. But imo separate game modes is the solution. A game mode targeted towards people who just want classic, non-frustrating, non-stressful, non-sweaty, and ESPECIALLY non-toxic Fortnite fun. I just hate the fact that the common demographic of the game now is this: * Insult everyone, regardless if they deserve it or not * Call the guy who clearly beat you fair and square trash constantly * Call someone trash for literally every action they do even if they completely contradict each other (example: “you’re so trash you shoot down all the time” *literally 30 seconds later* “you’re so trash you’re camping high ground”) * If people can’t beat you by box fighting, editing at the speed of light, or basically any tactics used by a build god, then that makes them trash, despite that they clearly show that their own unique and different tactics are both effective and skillful. (And, y’know, actually FUN)

I took a month breaks came back like I was new to the game and I just wanted to do some solos in normal games and have fun. I played 34 games in the past week and won 0 times and haven’t even gotten better. To be honest, Ninja is the reason everybody on Fortnite is so sweaty. He made all these little kids think they could do it as a full time job. Now they all waste their lives playing Fortnite all day everyday. Chapter 4 has pretty much removed all skill with things like the Hammer, Excalibur, and the worst one, the Deku Smash. It’s not even a shooter anymore. It’s a total child’s game. Anybody who actually likes to be skillful at games has moved on to games like Valorant.

The thing is he can’t anymore. It’s physically draining for him. They used to watch him get win after win, and being happy seeing him with a smile on his face. The worst part about fortnite rn is the fact that i gotta fight 10 try hards just to win a game in a PUB match, 1 or 2 i understand but its getting ridiculous, i fight a bunch of empire state building mfs to get my health blasted down to 50 on the last one i kill so i can get one shotted by the only bot that finally decides to come out of the bush hes hiding in, you know how hard it is to stay at 200 health after fighting a whole bunch of cracked players. Just makes no sense in a br game when you only have one life if everyone is cracked your forced to either camp or just play for kills untill you die or get lucky i guess, ive had games where ive ran threw every sweat i came across but it was bc rng was on my side that game and i was able to find heals, doing that consistently is impossible.
