I think ice is better because of the DPS of the temples. With your strat I always outlast lategame with the same powers because the multiplier on the boost is really insane. After r40 its really hard to lose if you rush right after they rush. Temples just dont pop the ZOMG layer fast enough.

Any tower outside of Ice, Glue, Bomb/Mortar, or Wizard counts as a 'miscellaneous' sacrifice, so you only really need $30,000 worth to get the maximum benefit. For example, you could do a 0-4 Supermonkey which would be the same as 6 4-0 Ninjas as a sacrifice, or 3 0-4 Snipers - The total amount just has to be $30,000+.
