This is a good blender, it will blend a fine smoothie in about 4 mins compared to a vitamix the quiet one. It takes about 2x as long to blend up a smoothie and is much louder, like way louder you cant talk over it unlike the vitamix the quiet one. vitamix the quiet one is the blender the use at tropical smoothie. Just don't think that your getting same quality, but it is perfect for home use.

I don't know why one would try to compare this to a vitamix and talk down on it in comparison, considering the vitamix line is over 3 to 7 times more expensive. Of course an $80 blender isn't going to perform as good as a $250 to $500 blender, but is the vitamix $400 better? Probably not. Also, I think the blender was over loaded. It's like filling your dryer to the brim with laundry until it can barely shut then expecting it to dry the entire load on one cycle.

Nobody ever told you, that you need to put at least half glass of water or any liquid when you are trying to blend-crush ice cubes? .do not blame the blender, blame yourself...

or use crushed ice. i would never use regular ice cubes especially dry even with a top nof the liune blender. chopping through ice blocks is something you see on forged in fire to destroy blades.

You're supposed to put your leafy greens at the bottom and the frozen fruits and ice at the very top, that will ensure your leafy greens get blended properly.

I think with the Ninja your setup has to be done in order and you have to go through the speeds. You can't just jump to the fastest without using the other 2 speeds first. I've never had a issue doing it that way.

I would never not use crushed ice even if i have a top of the line blender. y not make it easier on the poor blender and not use giant ice cubes that are hard as a rock and will dull ur blades and be hard on the motor?
