Ninja Storm Connection vs Storm 4

I like the idea of using Storm 4 as basis for Connections. My issue with Connections is it seems more things were taken away and replaced with gimmicky things. Such as these no skill and unnecessarily long combos Why remove the jutsu selection? Why remove tilts? Why remove chakra shuriken? The online modes? Things that made characters feel unique. For example, the multiple versions of Sasuke all feel similar now because a lot of them share jutsus now. People have been crying out for updated movesets on older characters. All they had to do was keep jutsu selection and tilts. Add second jutsu and keep chakra shurikens. Add support combos legitimately. Along with costume customization in there If you wanted to really spice things up re-add instant awakening while maintaining full awakenings later in the game as health decreases. Maybe a side combo? Like most mods. This would provide a fresh feeling to gameplay.

The devs just want money, they had 7 years to implement a lot of these changes. The potential of Storm games will always be way more than what we receive. We barely get the bare minimum, hence why we can’t invite our friends for online matches. Smh.

The 2nd just replacing the tilt was because people were having trouble using tilt. They essentially want to even the play field skilled vs new players. Most of the community is casual so thats what they are catering too.

@@jgfox3150 They could have kept it and added the second jutsu. The addition of simple play controls already achieved the even playing field. The tilt was around forever. Keeping it would be something for og fans. Keeping it and adding a second jutsu would have gave some older characters a fresher feel. We know they movesets not getting updated but it be a welcomed addition of gameplay options.

Could be a cash grab to help fund Storm 5’s production? That’s the most hopeful conclusion I thought about but yeah my original thought is that it feels like glorified DLC in terms of characters roster. Some changes are nice, others are absurd, unnecessary, and were never asked for.

This could've been a dlc or an expansion honestly for 20$ or maybe 30$ at best, not worth full asking price for basically the same gameplay with a few added stuff.

Well its the best this way because of how hard it is to balance a fighting game. Same thing with tekken, and other fighters. But the changes were really poor on this one. but trial and error.

Storm 4 barely has any players. So making an update WOULDNT mean anything as it won’t get traction. It needed to be a game. But for $70? No. 50-60 at most.

There just not enough content for a deceptively other then new characters that people don't REALLY care about, we basically got everything we wanted in storm 4, the karma boruto and kawaki is about the only interesting thing

Has anyone been seeing this issue in the storm games since 3 that there is a delay between actions sometimes within the fights, like the character won’t move for a few seconds. I’ve mainly had this problem in Storm 4 but it seems to be a bigger problem in connections, where sometimes the movement would flow nicely and the next the character plays stiff like they can’t move. Its worst online

This would be the result of 1 of two issues. -hitting B faster than your character -choosing a character that hits multiple times with 1 B button. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching!

Really knowledgeable video, although I should ask is the sub regain in 15 seconds in game timer or irl? I used a stopwatch and counted between 12-13 seconds each time to a single sub getting replenished.

Thank you for the question. Storm 4 story is better. Connections uses Ai to do the character voices to cut cost. They tried denying it but it’s very obvious as you are playing. In my opinion for multiplayer I like storm 4 yet again but no doubt storm connections is newer meaning a much larger player base.

I have to be honest about this game: although it looks cool, I don't find normal at all that important battles are missing from all the Story Mode chapters.

For me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻‍♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻‍♂️

I hear you on that man I too prefer storm 1 and 2...the people that complained about subbing all but quit storm 2 and us real sweats remained for the time before generations came out 😂😂 and it really wasn't that hard to learn...I reached to a point where I would sub out of team uj after a knock back (idk if it was a glitch but i just tapped the hell out of the guard button when i knew i was about to be knocked back). I learned to used combos to a point where i didn't need to spam jutsu just by simply neutral canceling and also utelizing air combos. I use to drain their Chakra to where they couldn't sub and go to town on them and I was able to use each and every character. You had to be a damn good puppeteer or a good shikamaru user to even best me. This one does things right after 4 but missed the mark on making a balanced game. It just seems too 1 dimensional However in my opinion revolution was the best balanced game aside from madara's op uj anko's drive support and the introduction of counter. They made support so op in this game that's pretty much the only thing that matters 😂😂😂

It feels like it was slapped together in a few months. Pretty much just a remix of all the old naruto games and added in a few new characters, maps and added in some new mechanics. Nothing to write home about and honestly a lot of the changes make the game feel way too unbalanced compared to other storm games ( and those were unbalanced messes too lol). But the game feels too punishing for those who don't abuse invincibility frames and map-wide attacks from supports. Def not worth the $60 price tag.
