Ralph is the only turtle in the TMNT universe to have a GF and Casey is the love interest of April. For Mikey, when they time traveled he did not remember Ranet. Why did the writers not include this? I have watch this episode and by far this is one of the best episode I have watched.

So Donnie fell in love first, has gotten a couple kisses but April can't make up her mind, Leo fell in love with his half-sister who then turned into a snake, Mikey fell in love with a time traveler and now Raph has a girl who's just as tough as him, isn't related, lives in the same time and doesn't have another love interest around. Let's be honest, Raph has done the best so far out of the whole group.

She was a pretty minor character in the original show despite her popularity with the fanbase, so despite a few nitpicks I'm just glad she's back at all, but I do hear what you're saying.

How'd you know about my letters?!? The ice sliding part reminded me of the movie. I think it was like a nod to that. As far as Mona goes...I'm satisfied. I would have loved it if she was a scientist or...a mutant instead of an alien (because there is like..barely any girl mutants) and I would have liked to see her a little more girly or sweet I guess. The reason I loved Mona in the 80's show, was because; she made the best of her situation, she was smart and she was really sweet and kinda girly, but not in that damsel in distress way. She still held her own and had her own wit. The Mona we got, was a VERY predictable personality. That being said, I don't hate her for being her own thing, I really do like this version of her, She's probably the largest woman so far! xD Tho, she's got some competition for badassery. I'm HOPING she's not a one episode wonder like the 80's cartoon and I'm hoping that...once they go back to the future or fix the future that she doesn't just go away.

+Black Nerd Comedy This episode shattered my childhood. I grew up seeing TMNT 2003 and never once saw Mona, I even looked for a comic to see of she was in it and found none. Then a friend tells me to watch the new season of the show and i get punched in the face when I see her. After 25 years of her not being in any tmnt show she comes back and adds to the "More Romance" thing the show has. Yes she looks cool, fights good, but i would have loved this if Nick did not feel the need to make it romantic the first time they met. I never really liked Mona when i first heard of her back when i was 13. I thought she was too much of a "Come save me" type, and I surely do not love her now, in fact I dislike her on a greater level now. She went from "Save me" to "I like you cause you can fight." In my opinion Nick is pleasing some fangirls with this... I don't mind her being back, but romanticizing the show to please a few of the fans, and because they can, does not mean they should.

I would have liked her to be a little closer to her original character but I have waited 20+ years for Mona Lisa's return so I will take her any way I can get her. I am one of those happy 80's Turtle fan girls. I was heartbroken and disappointed when IDW started implying that Alopex and Raph were going to be a couple. With all of the 80s characters in IDW I was hoping for Mona. I got her in the show, I'm good. Raph has has more girlfriends (not simple crushed but actual requited love) canonly than his brothers combined. That said, Raph is definitely the sub in that relationship and he likes it that way. :P

They kinda rushed the romance I feel. I presume the Salamandrians will appear again in future episodes, so why not have Raph and Mona's feelings evolve over time and just end this episode with her pretty much saying "Yeah okay, you turtles aren't so bad after all. Especially you, Raph." and then kiss him on the noes as like a friendly gesture. But that's my only complaint. I am very happy to have Mona in this series at long last.

It was probability a 3D animation issue instead of censorship. It would be somewhat difficult to animate the kiss with two snouted characters. This way the audience still knew it happened and got to see the other characters reacting to the kiss.

I do wish that the new Mona Lisa looked more like her original design, but I do really appreciate that the show's creators even bothered to bring back a one shot character like her from the original cartoon after all these years and has rekindled her relationship with Raph (which is AWESOME lol). I don't know if any other franchise out there goes out of its way to research what the fanbase honestly likes as much as this Ninja Turtle series does, they honestly had to have done research & seen how popular Mona Lisa was with the fanbase to even consider reviving her character for modern times, & I'm glad they did. Besides, this also improves her odds of becoming a recurring character in any future turtle series after this one, so maybe she'll get her ponytail and bandana back then XD. Oh, and Keith David is ALWAYS welcome as the voice of a new badass character, SALCOMMANDER FOR THE WIN! URRAH! >8D P.S. besides, at least her new incarnation is legitimately cool despite her altered appearance...Unlike what they did with the Punk Frogs (no offense to anyone who liked them, but to me the new Punk Frogs were pretty unimpressive).

One thing I'd like to point out is that the robot in tmnt had a scene where he held out his hand while a white glow from his spaceship was behind him essentially inviting the turtles to come on his ship. And in Doctor who they have the doctor hold his hand out while there's a white glow from the tardis behind him and he's saying "come with me " I think that was a slight reference to David tenants role as the doctor

I like that the last turtle to get a love interest introduced is also the first one to actually get lip time. Donatello? Been chasin' that April booty since episode 1, ain't got past a peck on the cheek. Leonardo? Forget first base, his would-be girlfriend is trying to strike him out of existence half the time. Mikey? 'nother peck on the cheek. Raph? Meets the girl and is locking lips in under 20 minutes. What is he, Sokka?

Okay, I had two gripes with this episode. 1) Though Keith David and Zelda Williams are great VAs, I have to admit that they were giving some pretty stilled and one-note writing to work with. It was very evident during Mona and Sal-commander's dialogues. 2) I felt Mona and Raph's relationship progressed WAAAYYYYY too quickly. I don't have a problem with them showing signs of starting to like each other, but I kinda wish their relationship at least had some build-up over a couple of episodes before we got that pay-off kiss. Still, despite that, this episode wasn't that bad. (also, I get that Casey is a teenage boy and all, but can we stop making him sound like a TOTAL goober in his dialogue. I don't mind those moments from time to time, but I also like to see him actually be more quippy and cool like he was before in previous generations).

My biggest problem with this show is its female characters. This show has only two actually long-term female characters, April and Karai, and even then both of them are still love interests. Mona and Renet are seemingly somewhat important, but are still love interests. You know, I don't really mind Mona's design even though the idea of pairing up Raphael with a non-human has been overused (it happened in every single incarnation of the turles so far), but damn, did they *really* have to "pull a Disney" on his relationship...? I mean, ok, he's impulsive, but when it comes to socializing, one would think he'd be the one to take the longest to reason with his feelings out of all the turtle brothers! Let's consider what we've seen so far: Donatello took one season and a half to get a kiss; Leo is still in "it's complicated" mode with Karai but it's clear there's something going on between them; Mikey got a non-lip kiss from Renet, ok, it was on the first episode, but it's clear Renet did not want to rush anything for obvious reasons. Given this pattern, the only conclusion I get to is that whoever wrote this script threw story-writing coherence in the trash just so they could A. "get to the point because I don't wanna waste time" and B. "audience points", and either sound like lazy solutions.

Anybody else at the endind of this episode thought, " yes maybe they'll have her in more than one episode this time! Wait no I don't think so considering they gave Raph those same comforting lines in the 80's". Sorry Raph, you have to wait another 2 reboots to see her again. Also I just don't see the Star Wars references. Probably because of in my mind set that this season of TMNT is really a lost series of Doctor Who from an alternate universe. Of which the Doctor (David Tennant) has been not fully upgraded. The TARDIS has regenerated to fit this Doctor and the Turtles April and Casey are the Doctors companions. To those Who have no clue what I'm talking about but like or love this season so far. Go to the top and type in Doctor Who 2005 Series 2. I believe there are still full episodes watch and You're Welcome.

Pretty neat Episode! I kinda wished Mona Lisa and April had abit more interaction just so it would kinda but not kinda connect them in a way and it would give me an excuse to give some Mona Lisa Trivia that connects 80s Mona Lisa to 2012s April O'Neil. the intro reminds me of the 12th dr. who intro.. Amy talks about meeting her imaginary friend.. so I guess its a nice nod to the doctor. also, don't know if you watch walking dead but the latest episode had a character named Eastman and he had 4 pictures of turtles on his wall.. but he trained with a bo staff. go fig. :p

Andre I'm sorry but I got to vent about this episode, because it really rubbed me the wrong way. First of all it only took Raph 10 mins. to hook up with Mona Lisa. It took four seasons for April to warm up to Donnie, three seasons for Karai to warm up to Leo and for Renet maybe a few episodes for Mikey. Second this really pissed me off, throughout the entire show Raph has been harping on his brothers for falling in love with human girls, but as soon as a female reptile shows up all that goes out the window. Are the producers trying to say that human girls aren't good enough for Raph ? Third Mona only appeared in ONE EPISODE. She wasn't in the 2003 series, the live action show, nor in the comics. How can fans go berserk over a character that appeared one time.

damn, its taken leo forever to get "close" to karrai and donnie is not even close. But raph managed to get a girl within the first 20 minutes of the episode. also, i got the raph met his match reference, clever andre, very clever :)
