remake feels closer to the arcade game because of wide screen support. They made the final boss a little harder, especially with Yaksha

Taito knew what they were doing letting Natsume develop sequels to some of their properties (this series, and Kiki Kaikai/Pocky and Rocky, and Natsume also did the Darius II port to the SMS, and it is good too), and of course Natsume did the awesome Wild Guns on SNES, as well as games like Shatterhand and the legendary Shadow of the Ninja on NES. Didn't hurt the Power Rangers having their games also done by Natsume, as well as Gundam Wing Endless Duel.

You know, this video has been sitting in my "likes" folder for almost a year, and I just can't help but marvel how somebody can kick so much ass with Kunoichi. Ever since playing this game as a kid I always went with the simplest choice, Kamaitachi, and always speed ran through the whole game. I always wanted to try and beat the game with Kunoichi, especially since she's a big advertisement in the game and she looks really cool. However, it takes some serious skill to play as Kunoichi because her range is very limited and she moves a bit slow; I just could get passed level 4 with her without multiple continues. You just make it look so easy, man. Congrats on making the character shine. :)

I think Kamaitachi is essentially the game's easy mode!! He's the quickest, has good range and is the simplest fighter to play, right??

kunoichi has a much better move set really, kamaitachi has speed but grappling is a bit tricky, Ninja has has a great move set but his slow speed makes him quite vulnerable when cornered. Plus ninja has quite a big hitbox. Kunoichi's moveset makes the game more manageable from the short forward thrust when crouching and her forward slash . Kamaitachi is hard since you can't just grapple enemies by getting near them opposed to ninja and kunoichi where you instantly grapple them when you get near. Grappling enemies in this game is key if you want to get out of being cornered. Still kamaitachi has speed and range but having to hold (up I think) to grapple is such a deal breaker for me. A thing I also noticed in the run is he didn't utilize the block, long overhead jump and the the mini special attack where you hold up while doing your chain combo which I have to say is very impressive.

And the team that made this later went on to make ALL of the Power Rangers games on the SNES. No wonder I always thought this game and the MMPR games on SNES felt similar. Same developer! Only difference was they were both published by different companies.

Natsume was one of the most underappreciated developers for the SNES, pretty much all their games back then were quality.

They made power rangers ninja storm on the Gameboy too I believe. The arrow when you clear a room is the same. That game kicked ass and also had a fantastic ost.

The ps4 version they rerelease was reworked in that manner that if back in the day the newer version was the arcade in the 90s,the snes version would be the downgraded version for 16bit systems.However the only true problem i find in the snes version was its lack of two player co-op to tell you the truth.And it was something it could be done for a game such as that for snes,why not? i honestly can't tell!

This was the toughest member to play with, because of how weak and awkward the moves were. The other 2 were really fun to play with and this one could add a degree of difficulty, if you already can win with the other 2. I thought this was the best SNES game of all time and, as far as fighting go, the creators were either genius or lucky!

Basically there are couple of female enemies that were removed for the U.S release (a bizarre overreaction to violence against women thing I guess? Just like the Final Fight 1 port for SNES) the weird thing is that the "blood" that was removed was green and not red in the Japanese version. Anyway, worth checking out the JP version called "Ninja Warriors Again" there :)
