So agree! Arin is partially what makes the new heroes diverse. Some have powers but he is just there, powerless, yet still capable of being a hero like everyone else. The writers chose a clever path for Arin's character, I hope they don't drop the ball in season 2

I totally agree! S11 and S15 tried to do an "I lost my powers" plot, and both Seasons failed at that. Arin is exactly that plot done right, and I hope it stays that way

I will be so upset if he gets elemental powers in the future. He's the perfect example of the whole "powers is not what make you a hero or a ninja" thing, truly amazing.

I think he is a decent character. But I’m hoping that the new seasons actually develop him. As for the powerless arc thing, it makes sense why Ninjago does this. It’s been established multiple times that elemental power will always return to its master eventually.(unless if it involves things like Chen’s stuff or Cronosteel) Just removing the Ninja’s powers forever not only contradicts the lore, but it also makes the ninja gaining powers completely pointless. What is the point of giving these characters powers if they’re not going to keep them? That just doesn’t make any sense. The reason why Arin works and the Ninja don’t is because he doesn’t start with powers unlike the ninja. This is good because it avoids both problems I just mentioned.

I like Arin but I don't understand why they didn't just use Nelson. The only reason I can think of is that they're planning something else for Nelson, or maybe something related to Arin's parents that they couldn't do with Nelson for some reason

Arin being a ninja because of who he is rather than his powers makes a lot of sense, because Wu's recruitment style was a lot more focused on collecting the elemental masters to recreate the glory days during the serpentine wars, however Lloyd wouldn't care about stuff like that and sees the value in just trying your hardest. Two masters, each with their differences

Yeah I was somebody VERY scared and worried for what Dragon's Rising would be and after watching all of Season 1, I am happy. And Arin is my favorite Dragon's Rising character and I cannot wait to see his full journey.

I love Arin as a character. But honestly I don't understand why he is considered an ordinary guy from Ninjago. Literally, he himself learned Spinjitzu and created his new Spinjitzu form, and this is already a sign of talent whether there is power or not. Such an underrated character. I can also disagree a bit about Arin's power. Why don't Ninjago make internal power like mind. Arin deserves power, but not everyone gets it. The power of Spinjitzu skills or just the power of fun would suit him!
