He went from partially good man to fully evil to dark lord, then he got 4 arms, the Overlord possessed him, turned into a dragon, Lloyd defeated the Overlord, Garmadon was good again, he became a sensei, he became a man snake, he became human again, he died, Harumi brought back the evil destroyer from the departed realm, he found out he had a little bit of a good side, became kind of good again, and now we don't know where he is

@@3m0watermelon they both have similar backstories, Lloyd didn’t have his real mother raise him, he grew up to find out his father was the most evil man alive, and had to be the exact opposite and eventually save his father from the evil, that’s almost an exact replica of Luke’s story, (THEIR NAMES BOTH START WITH L)

The way I like to look at it, Garmadon, like everyone else in the cursed realm when the preeminent was destroyed pretty much died (in ninjago terms, went to the departed realm). Harumi ensured that the part of Garmadon that was resurrected was the part that was his oni side, so that he would have no shred of care for Lloyd The main thing about Garmadon is that whatever happened to him, like the devourer bite, he always cared about Lloyd (and maybe Misako too), he would never let anything hurt Lloyd and would be there to protect him if need be. That key thing is what Harumi ensured was removed when resurrecting him in s8. She brutally manipulated Garmadon into a heartless villain and ensured he would attack Lloyd no matter the cost. And she also wanted to be his “daughter” as a replacement of Lloyd, which was even more manipulation. So yeah s8 and s9 Garmadon was only a fraction of the person he once was, cursed and manipulated to be what he was. He’s I guess trying to make up for it but yeah the damage is done. Garmadon is never coming back in his sensei form, the form he was at his happiest.

Sensei Garmadon Emperor Garmadon is basically just the oni part of Garmadon - so not the same as his original evil state where he was corrupted by the devourer's venom it's weird but that's how i view it

After episode 82 I’ve thought about if he knew what he was doing the entire time. He first says to Lloyd “you’ve changed” then goes over the list of tittles he has had, then in s9 he talked about what he saw in the departed realm, and after his defeat at the end of s9. He definitely didn’t let Lloyd win that though. But then let’s look at episode 20 of Crystalized, the way he talked about Cristofern is basically Lloyd but he was too angry to realize that. Then in the next episode, he purposely got under Lloyd’s skin because he knew what would piss him off But I guess we’ll never know 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can’t be blamed for being angry. I mean, I got the crap beaten out of me, and then you say you have no son. There’s no record of him ever apologizing for saying those things. It annoys me. Also, you know I died for a couple of seconds, and you didn’t even bother to check on me to see if I was alright. Lloyd said that if he were in my shoes, he would have been just as angry. I wouldn't see a plant as a metaphor for myself either if I were that upset.
