I have an angsty headcanon about jay, that since everything reset it didn’t happen, so even though there’re aren’t scars, he still sort of feels them, sometimes in the mirror he can “see” them but it’s not there. Like blood on his cheek or cuts and bruises.

Same! I headcanon that the eye injury for the eyepatch left him with impaired vision in that eye, and that's why Kai picks on Jay a lot in later seasons. He is the weakest fighter, because he doesn't have full vision
