It's a good new method... but I prefer the Whiteboard and the Ninja Nerd in front of it. :( It was easier to understand, when you show with your hands what you mean.. please come back to the screen!

This format is amazing!! I watched the older video on cardiac cycle when you drew everything out on the whiteboard and that was very helpful. But now that I'm able to compare all 4 at the same time in such an organized manner... thank you so much, you guys are seriously amazing.

You know your tutorials are amazing when so many people watch both that cover the exact same material. HAHA. I do love the whiteboard, but this is was also a great supplementary video as it organized the material better. The whiteboard was helpful to fully understand what was happening as we watched you draw it out... and this was a great review of that material to really hit it home. I'm 2 years late to the party on this video, but its still amazing.

I like the new format, just Joined, little pricey for a student, but i need to pass! Question: during Isometric Relaxation, isnt it P ventricular < P arterial, atleast thats what my professor is saying. B/c no change in volume, no blood moving & ALL valves are closed. Please clarify, thanks in advance.
@muhammadnabil3390

I'm super duper late to the party but i'll really appreciate if some one can explain to me a problem i'm having to understand. During mid to late ventricular systolic phase/ ejection phase,when the pressure is greater inside the ventricles as compared to either atrial or arterial then why doesn't the tricuspid & mitral valves open up but only the pulmonic & aortic semi lunar valves open up...? I know the atrio-ventricular(tricuspid & mitral valves) valves will not allow the backward flow of blood from ventricles to atria but still,if the pressure is high in the ventricles & this same high pressure can force the semi lunar valves to open & spill the blood into pulmonary trunk & aorta then why not force the atrio-ventricular valves to also open up...? P.S. Sorry for the lengthy statement.
@Tpry
@Tpry Жыл бұрын
S1 is the closure of the Mitral and Tricuspid valves. The ventricular pressures greater than atrial pressures close the AV valves . This is early systole or early QRS ( isovolumetric contraction - before blood rejects from the ventricles.. S2 is the closure of the Aortic and pulmonic valves, after the blood has ejected out of the ventricles. The Aortic and Pulmonic pressures are greater than Ventricular pressures - close the valves. This is the T wave repolarization of Atrium. or Isovolumtetic relaxation.

In places where there is no gravity, like in the ISS, how does the passive flow of blood from atria to ventricle occur? Does it affect the stroke volume?

there is a very faint S4 sound due to blood hitting the ventricular walls durnig Atrial systole/ Mid to late ventricular Diastole. is that pathological too? if you can hear it?
