I think it's important also to underline that the Azygos and Hemiazygos veins origin respectively from right and left lumbar veins. That way they form an important anastomotic circulation between the inferior vena cava and superior vena cava.

For the 6th arch , we can say that 6=pulmonary , where there are actually 6 pulmonary vessels ( 2 arteries and 4 veins) , of course 6th arch only give the arteries, but it's just a way to relate the number 6 with pulmonary
