Question: Acyl Co A oxidase and acyl Co A dehydrogenase are two distinct enzymes, When there is a deficiency of acyl Co a dehydrogenase will acyl Co A oxidase take over to produce acetyl Co a and shorten very long chain fatty acid, and transport these to mitochondria for further energy production?
