I wish you had a playlist that was "start here..." and it was just every video in the order that makes the most sense to watch them in... Yes, that would be years of med school in one playlist that would take like a year straight to listen to... But wow, it'd be epic.

I have spastic quadriplegia and ataxic cerebral palsy. I benefit from baclofen and Botox injections. I use a service dog trained in mobility work and a manual wheelchair. I used to be able to use forearm crutches. I have neuro PT every week for the past year and some change. I am 29. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 16 years old due to lack of medical care access. I didn’t speak until I was ten. I am starting OT and speech therapy. I had seizures as a baby and growing up. My life is wonderful. I love my life. I encourage any person reading this to address the pain component of CP as much as possible because that’s what made my life not worth living. When my pain came under control I could finally flourish. I also recommend to anyone a service dog if they would benefit from the tasks they can perform. A dog adds so much light to my life. ❤ Thank you for such a thorough video. Have a lovely day.

I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy with Spastic Diplegia when I was born. I’m now dealing with the complications of scoliosis and hip pain as well as muscle weakness and overcompensating. I didn’t really understand how all of my symptoms were connected until I happened upon your video. I was also not aware that there are medications that are available. Now that I’ve seen this video, I feel so much more informed and better prepared for my upcoming doctors appointment ! I understand my body in a way I never had before and that means so much! I truly thank you 😊

My hip and back pain is the main reason for walking difficulty. I was recently diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy.

Totally not me watching this as a german nurse student to understand what 2 of my 13 patients are dealing with right now- But really, this helped me a lot to understand abit of what's going on there EVEN IF i had to look up a few of those words there. I'm writing a biography about one of these mentioned 2 patients, and have to talk about their isssues, and this helped me a lot tu understand it.

My six year old has spastic cerebral palsy. He was born a little premature but mostly ok. He was being given oxygen and somehow it was shut off or some problem happened. As a result he went six minutes without air. His mother wasn't able to care for him. Long story short, I was blessed with him. I'm still trying to get everything figured out. Everyday we learn more. I teach Project Lead the Way to 7th graders. One of the projects we do, is we design therapeutic toys for children with CP to help with OT, PT, or ST. This video is perfect for me to refresh myself with prior to teaching this unit. I know 7th graders don't need this much info, but I as the teacher appreciate the depth of this video and how comprehensive it is. Great work on this, and thank you!

Great Videos and a nice overall view, as I am writing my doctoral thesis in this field. Maybe a little addition: kernikterus is often seen in prematures neos because the liver is not able to metabolise the amount of bilirubin that is accumallting by the natural lysis of erys (change of heamoglobin structures, that needs to occure when the body is exposed to the enviroment - O2 binding properties have to change). Thats why we often see hyperbilirubinamy at ICUs,. in premature neos.

as a 58 y/old male with 'complicated' CP since birth (and an I.Q. of 140), Diazepam is the ONLY drug that reduces my spasticity to a level where I can function within society (walk, talk, dress, drive, interact, lecture, etc) whilst being able to think clearly. However, thanks to federal/state govt. gross overreach, accessing the drug is becoming significantly more difficult !!!

I really drew the short straw... I have a damaged cerebellum as well as a lesion affecting both sides of my body. Ataxia as well as spastic quadriplegia. Ironically I have low strength in my entire body as well. Lifting and walking is a struggle. Most likely caused by herpes or elevated bilirubin (I was a bad premature birth). It's taken 36 years to be diagnosed. It's a relatively mild case but lack of treatment and lack of understanding has destroyed my life
