Thank you! This was very, very helpful. I'm writing a difficult final project paper and essentially had to learn all about the inner ear anatomy, physiology and development in the span of a couple of days. Now I feel very informed and actually understand what all these words mean, e.g. utricle, saccule, ampulla, etc.

12:35 Mr Zach Murphy, in physics, an object can only be in static equilibrium when the net force and net torque acting on it is equal to zero and the object is in rest. On the other hand, an object is in dynamic equilibrium when the net force and net torque acting on it is equal to zero but the object has constant velocity.

Is the reason human ear hears freq at max of 20,000 Hz because that's how many hairs are in the cochlea? Each hair is 1 higher Hz?
