I have had very fun two-player experiences with Ninjato so that is interesting that you found it to stall out a bit. The battles for house dominance really became an interesting challenge and point of focus as well. I find the luck factor fits the theme fairly well as you just never know what you will find around the next corner. The skills that you collect can help to mitigate some of the luck too.

I guess it was an 8 value faction. So 2+4+8=14. You were correct, sir. ;-)

he just misspoke because the tile he placed was a 8 and not a 6, so the final 14 value is correct

Frustrating to watch. You should learn the rules of a game proper before teaching it to others. Don't give me the 'I think these are called xxx' and 'am I supposed to do this, wait let me think oh no I did it wrong' routine. That's how *I* explain a game to my friends. It's not how you're supposed to make a review. Let alone one you apparently got sponsored for.
