Nino died super young. He couldn't live his full success as an artist. I think he wasn't even 40. He died in a car crash. I wasn't born yet, but my parents introduced me to a lot of beautiful music, including Nino. He had more of the most powerful voices I've ever heard. Very manly and strong. But at the same time, his soft voice was like a lullaby. Very sweet, very tender. Thank you for reacting to these artists. Big hugs from a Colombiana.

To clarify you a little about the lyrics. This is a farewell. He is saying godbye to his hometown and his lover with the promise to get back when he finds a better chance in a new land. Seems like an migration story. Videos at the time (1972) was not neccesary related to the lyrics. It seems to be a promotional video of Mallorca Island. Unfortunately Nino Bravo died shortly after in a car crash.

This guy was a superb Spanish singers of the early 70s. He had plenty of melodic songs like this. All Americans should listen to his songs America, America at least once in life. Unfortunately,, he died young, at t'he age of 28, due to a car accident in 1973. Although perhaps different in style, lots of parallelism with Jim Croce.
