She's great, but somehow, after listening to several of her performances, I can't help feeling some kind of subtle affectation which I just can't put my finger on. Something to do with her articulation, which comes off, perhaps, as a bit too pointed - a bit too ...self-conscious? But I may be chasing something in my imagination. In any event, given her youth, this something will no doubt evaporate with maturity. In truth, you want in a young virtuoso, a healthy dose of projection of the self - until wisdom kicks in and learns to subordinate it to higher musical impulses. Any thoughts?
