I do not like a stretch leg dancing that is a Studio style of dancing started by a person that dances everything in that stretch leg style. Is there not someone from the Arthur Murray era when dancing was more natural and much softer.

Ok, so this rumba routine has more texture compared to the one they danced at Blackpool, and I think they found quite a few interesting transitions. It’s also not as linear as before which I like since, imo, the circular patterns add volume, complexity, and balance to the routine. What I don’t like: I think Nino has lost his autonomy as a dancer in this partnership. To me, it looks like his sole purpose anymore is to service Andra, and I think their routines reflect that effort too. He needs to somehow recover his individuality within this partnership, he’s become too tame a dancer. Strangely, I don’t think Andra benefits from this approach either. She also, imo, has lost the spark and passion that she had with Mauricio.

I can agree with you now. I don't think Nino is a good dancer. Andra is a great dancer but she had a great couple only with Mauricio. Nino has bad leg action, for me and has no connection with her in dance.

This is a very confident criticism of this couple who has been placed in the final in every major competition for the last couple of years by knowledgeable and qualified judges. I personally find this rumba artistic with beautiful shaping. Being able to make the simplest steps look gorgeous, rhythmical, and not over-exaggerated.
